Comments about sE Electronics Project Studio Reflexion Filter:

AS soon i hooked it up, i could immediately tell the difference it made. This filter is the only sound treatment i have in my room and it does help a lot. The size is pretty good i think too. Yet, if you have the cash, i would say just go ahead and get the bigger 300 dollar one. But basically its a vital piece of equipment for a better vocal recording.

Comments about sE Electronics Project Studio Reflexion Filter:

I use this to record vocals in a studio that has minimal room treatment.

It has made a distinct difference to the quality of the recorded vocals. Makes it sound like you are actually in a isolated booth.

Its quite weighty and tends to lean to the side. I had to use a brace under the rod to steady it.
It blocks the face of the vocalist and as the engineer thats a little uncomfortable for me.

I use my Project Studio Reflexion Filter for rap recording. And since my apartment isn't acousticlly treated it really did the trick. It cuts out a significant amount of echo and dead air.[...] My only gripe is it did not come with instruction on how to construct and mount to a mic stand. But overall it was well worth the price.

Comments about sE Electronics Project Studio Reflexion Filter:

This works great in an already dead room.

But when moved into a brighter room, it doesn't seem to dampen reflextion from all sides.

I didn't really notice a huge impact in a big room.

It is heavy to mount so you better have a real good, solid professional mic stand to attach this thing to.

Easy to assemble and it helps concentrate the input while keeping out unwanted noise in a small room.

Comments about sE Electronics Project Studio Reflexion Filter:

We record voice overs every once in a while in the office, having a full booth would be wasteful. This is the perfect alternative.

              setup:
I am using a Rode Podcaster and the MXL PF-002 metal mesh pop filter mounted on a c-stand. I have the pop filter attached to the rail holding the mic.

              sound:
The sound is noticeably better, it sounds like a studio recording (with slight cleaning up). I can say, 100% worth the money.

              assembly:
There are no instruction like the other reviewer said. It came with a wrench (no idea why) and a washed that I didn't use.

              to assemble:
              1. Tighten/close the long rail so it is straight (the large back and metal piece)
2.Clamp the bracket onto the side of your mic stand, or c-stand. It is Heavy, so beware of tipping your stand.
              3. There is a small metal "Top Looking" bracket, screw that into the bottom of your mic mount.
              4. Put your mic, and the new post, into the sliding mount on the rail.
              5. Now screw in the long pole in the reflection filter. Insert screwing joke.
              6. Insert that behind the mic, there is a hole for that. *giggle* okay your done

You can be setup in a minute flat.

              pros:
-The hardware is sturdy, everything feel well built.
              -excellent sound
              -looks awesome!
              -great price
              -easily detach the mic

              cons:
-Because of the size of my mic it is all the way at the end of the rail. That is also because I have a USB cable that comes out of the back of my mic.
              - My mic sits at the bottom of the filter, just a few inches below center.

My guess is the full size one has more room to adjust. But from what I have seen, this model has better hardware.

              overall:
              awesome

Comments about sE Electronics Project Studio Reflexion Filter:

I recently set up a small voice recording studio in my apartment. I live on the street-side of my apartment building and was worried about the noise. This reflection filter totally shut out the noise. My recordings sound like they are made in a professional studio.
The only thing I didn't like is that it didn't come with instructions on how to assemble it. I went on YouTube and found a video of someone assembling the more expensive version of this filter. The parts aren't exactly the same, so I had to figure out some things by myself.
Once figured out, no worries. This is a great purchase.
