The Domke F-6 Little Bit Smaller RuggedWear Shoulder Bag (Chocolate Brown) is a weather-resistant canvas shoulder bag made to carry a film or digital camera outfit. It is constructed of tough, breathable, compressible canvas made to hug the shooter's hip closely. It has a sensible access to the equipment with a great space-to-size ratio. The bag features military-specification hardware, webbing and adjustable closures. Nine compartments and pockets, including a short four compartment padded insert and two full length zippered pockets. The non-slip Gripper Strap runs completely around the bag.
Weather-resistant RuggedWear fabric produces a unique distressed and weathered look right from the start. The high-quality, weather-tough, durable cotton canvas that is treated with special non-solvent, environmentally friendly waxes to afford the fabric a lifelong resistance to inclement weather. The special formula allows the fabric to breathe while the waxes produce a unique, timeless, weathered, distressed patina finish. By using the included refinishing wax, bags can be restored to its original finish quickly and easily.

In this little bag I have managed to fit:
Canon 7D w/ battery grip
Canon PowerShot SD1000
Argus C3
Minolta XG-A
EF 28-135 IS USM
EF 50mm f/1.4 USM
EF-S 18-55 IS
MD 50 f/1.4
50mm for the Argus
35mm for the Argus
Various manuals, lens cloths, brushes, and SD/CF cards in the top compartment
An extra battery for the 7D
The canon charger and an aftermarket charger for the 7D
The charger for the SD1000
Giottos Large Rocket Air
A large handful of accessories for the film cameras.
And 5 rolls of 35mm film
Even with all that the bag balances (when I put the correct lenses in the correct places) and fits comfortably against my hip. I added a 19 inch pad [BH #DOPW19B] (which I folded in half to look like a triangle) that I slipped into the side I put my 7D body. It pads the bottom and sides that face the exterior of the bad to the point where I would probably not worry about the body if the bag was kicked or dropped.
The fabric is decent, it seems rather strong even though it is not as thick as fire hose canvas or cowhide. If you hold it up to a bright light source it will shine though, not because the fabric is cheap but because of the wax finish. If you remove the lens compartment and everything from the bag it will fold flat on its own, but when will you ever do that. The strap wrapping across the bottom really makes the bag hold up well to a heavy load.
I do wish the stitching was a little more robust (hence the four stars). My guess is that if anything fails it will be the stitching, which probably won't happen for many years. I would have also liked to see some feet on the bottom and a hard bottom to allow you to set it on damp/wet ground and not get the bottom of the bag nasty.
It would have also been nice to see some padded inserts for the sides/bottom, but like I said the pad B&H sells fits very well and provides an AMAZING amount of padding. One 19 inch is plenty if you slide the lens holder to one end and insert the pad on the other, if you plan on using the lens holder in the middle and carrying things on both sides you should probably get two smaller pads.

I was drawn to the looks but that was not skin deep. This is NOT like the other Domke bags I own. The fabric is like muslin and you can see through it when up to light. It is floppy and does not hold it's shape at all. In fact it is like a cool looking rag bag. I think they should take their normal canvas bag and just stone wash it. Hey maybe I should just give that a try on the olive bag.

Comments about Domke F-6 Little Bit Smaller RuggedWear Shoulder Bag:
Carring my d700 and a couple of lenses while in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The group I was with got caught in a down power. Not a dry sticth of clothes on any of us. By the time we got out of the rain I had eveyone's cell phone in the bag with my camera. Everything in the bag stayed dry. Needless to say I was very happy and suprised. Uses this bag as an everyday bag with the F1-X to carry and store the rest of my gear.Great look great smaller sized bag. No regrets and very happy with this bag

Comments about Domke F-6 Little Bit Smaller RuggedWear Shoulder Bag:
This bag, like all Domke bags, is made to last a lifetime. I first purchased the smaller F5XB but found it just a tad too small. I wanted something that would hold my Nikon 3200 + a lens or two AND my wallet and cellphone. The F-6 is perhaps a touch larger than needed for that amount of gear but it enables me to bring along my kindle or a paperback making it the ultimate day bag. The front clips are a bit hard to open - I wish that the bag had velco fasteners like the F5XB but it's not a deal breaker. The wax finish is so classy and the bag itself is amazingly light. Finding the right Domke can be a trial but there's no better bag manufacturer in my opinion.

A great bag that holds a lot more than you think it would. 5D + lenses(currently 50mm, 70-300mm, 100mm), Speedlite, Duct tape, packing tape, Blackberry playbook, 2 battery chargers, CF card case, tape measure, exacto knife, electrical tape, tissues, flashlight, card reader, gerber multi plier, 2 sharpies, a bottle of nail polish and eyeliner. With room to cram a few more things.

Comments about Domke F-6 Little Bit Smaller RuggedWear Shoulder Bag:
I use this bag with my 7D canon, 50mm, 15-85mm, accessories and it works great. I had some leftover padding from my last case that I added for some additional protection to my canon body, but what it comes with is suitable. I don't keep my camera lens mounted while in this case, but you could probably figure out a way to make this possible.

We bought this bag for a recent destination wedding we shot in the Dominican Republic. We wanted something that would hold a body a couple lenses and a flash and was easy to fly with. Well this little mamma fit lots more. Totally surprised as to how much fit in there. I also loved how much it doesn't look like a camera bag. Who knew we were walking around with 10K worth of stuff in our bag?....nobody.

Comments about Domke F-6 Little Bit Smaller RuggedWear Shoulder Bag:
I ordered this bag and the F-10 shoulder bag for daily use with my Canon 60D and a couple of lenses. The F-6 was surprisingly large, especially in depth, for someone of my height (5'1"). My partner, who is 6'1", felt it would be a good sized bag for him. [...]I was impressed with the styling of the F-6; lots of pockets, easy access to gear, RuggedWear fabric is quite attractive.

It does what I need it to do and I haven't had any issues with it so far. Able to carry enough of my gear without worrying about it getting damaged. And it looks cool. So...that's a plus.

Really happy with this bag as opposed to the "cardboard box on a strap" type. Only issue is metal clips can be difficult to open.
