I shoot w/a Panasonic HMC150...production and news. This means I'm out for hours and need gear that does NOT fail...reliable with predictable parameters. So far (a month into use) these batteries have been worth the price. I seem to be getting about 70-90 minutes each, with camera on and off, with LCD open and closed plus some playback and importing into computer.
I am predictable also - so batteries are put on charge as soon as I'm back home, then placed into the camera bag once charged.
Two things I'd improve...a way to show which battery has been used already (I place a piece of tape on the fresh ones and peel it off once it goes into the camera) and a way to differentiate between batteries (as in #1, #2, #1). The latter I can solve with a white pen easily.

Lasts about an hour.
Lightweight, small. Good if you're using a steadicam Merlin because the battery doesn't add much to the weight of the camera.

We are consistently amazed at the life of this small battery as it powers our Panasonic camcorder. It lasts for hours and charges relatively fast.

Close in run time to the original Panasonic battery that shipped with the camera. Starts at right at 2 hours. But if you use phanton power for a shotgun mic, it will drop faster than normal. I get at least 1.5 hours with this battery using the sennheiser shotgun.

When you need a battery with a few hours of power, this is your best bet. I have a Panasonic HMC 150 and this is a nice back-up battery. Worth the $$.

Comments about Pearstone VW-VBG260 Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (7.4V, 2300mAh):
I used this battery in a Panasonic camcorder (AG-HMC40) and for its small size, it packs a punch. One charge lasted for my whole afternoon shoot. The camera has space for a much bigger battery and I was annoyed that I couldn't find one, but it turned out the Pearstone was plenty. I would suggest having two batteries if you're shooting for any significant amount of time, but one will suffice if you just want to shoot your kid's birthday party.

Comments about Pearstone VW-VBG260 Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (7.4V, 2300mAh):
The Panasonic OEM batteries I use for my HD video camcorder are costly: approximately $100 plus tax for a battery that goes for 3 hours and 5 minutes, more or less. The pleasant salesman sold me the equivalent Pearstone battery -- [$] -- and he said it was going to last as long. It doesn't: fully charged, it's good for 2 hours and 48 minutes. I saved twenty percent but I also lost some percent of time, and now I have two batteries to carry around that are slightly less efficient. It might not matter to the average person, but when you're traveling, weight matters, and having to change batteries more frequently when I am shooting twelve hours of music at a jazz party is more inconvenient. "You get what you pay for" seems true here.

I've found that you can never be without enough power when taping. The worst thing that can happen is to run out of power in the middle of taping something. This battery had an excellent price, and was compatible with the battery that came with my camera.

Knowing how to best care for your rechargeable batteries, you want to get the ones that last just long enough. And this line of batteries are offered in several capacities, so chose well or buy different ones and bring the apropriate one for the right situation.

Works fine. It is roughly twice the size of the standard battery suppled with my Pana HDC-TM700 so it does stick out more. It might be bothersome if you have small hands as it can potentially interfere with your thumb to operate the camera, but it's not much of an issue with me. It can be recharged in the supplied battery charger.

Comments about Pearstone VW-VBG260 Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (7.4V, 2300mAh):
This is my 2nd battery from the set of my AG HMC150. It runs for about 100 minutes if you use the LCD, which, for me, is enough once I have another battery. Some people might think it could last longer, as other models do, but I'm happy. If you have the HMC150, you need 2 batteries, so this one is not only recommended, but also required!
It recharges relatively quick.
