I had been meaning to try metallic papers. Finally, I had some suitable images to give it a go.
This paper is the first in my trials. First it is reasonably priced. Secondly the results a terrific. My pictures had added depth and clarity not seen with ordinary papers. The paper itself has a pearly sheen to it, and this adds impact to highlights.
I used this on a R2400 printer, I simply selected Ultra Premium Presentation Gloss profile and it printed just fine, better than fine. I don't know if I will bother with ICC profiles, because I am happy with results.
Select your images for contrast and punch. I used Viveza to bump up the structure and increased contrast, and the results were super.

Bought this paper as a trial to see how it compares to true R4 process metallic papers and I was more than disappointed.
Although I did not have much hope that it would work extremely well I at least thought that it would have the appearance of a High Gloss plus some. Results were unrealistic and the colors even with the Inkpress ICC profiles were well off target.

I am working on series of B/W rock and tree images and like the look of the Kodak Endura photo paper. It would be nice to find an inkjet paper that was similar characteristics for testing and adjustments rather than sending out to make proofs. The write up for the Inkpress Metallic Paper looked promising; here is what I found for the Canon Pro9500 II and the Epson R2400 and those with like ink.
Prints from both printers lack the "3D" depth found from the Endura prints to a fairly good degree. It is as if you are not comparing the same product set. It is apparent that the ink is resting on top of the paper and not part of "glow" found using the Endura. The Canon ink has bright highlights and pleasant midtones but loss of shadow detail. The Epson ink produces a good detailed print throughout the tonal range. The canon print is a bit cooler (red) than the Epson but we are splitting hairs here. In both cases Photo Shop managed the printing and I used the printer ICCs. Using the ICC provided by Inkpress for the Epson produced a decidedly greenish looking print.
Over all the prints are acceptable and have an opalescent quality about them and are a notch up from the usual glossy print, but they will not to be confused with the Kodak Endura prints. I feel the Inkpress paper printed using the Epson printer is suitable for testing and proofs or as a final product. Unfortunatly, I feel a need to test other metallic papers.
If you get a chance view the text for the INKPRESS METALLIC GLOSS product description at the Inkpresspaper web site. As of this entry it has not been changed. Regards.

I have printed several shots on the metalic paper and love them all. Everything from sunrises to fireworks and each one looks great. I printed one on regular glossy paper and than on the metalic paper and the metalic print is 10x better, much more detail and depth. Will be ordering more soon, and larger sizes. Also ordering with B&H is so quick and easy!

I printed it on the Epson 9600 and compare this brand to the Epson glossy 250gsm, the old Konica glossy, the HP papers. All papers were printed by the same printer. The color for this paper is not better than the others, less contrast and less vibrant. I don't know if I should buy this brand again. It's more expensive but the outcome is not impressive like I expected.

I did a number of side-by-side comparisons of prints with this paper and prints of the same images with HP Premium Plus photo paper. There were no dramatic differences in quality or appeal. The metallic paper has a slightly different look but I can't say it's a noticeably better look. Worth the price difference? Not to me.

I love metallic prints and have been waiting for a manufacturer to come out with 8.5 x 11 paper so I could make small prints from home. I have a fairly nice HP photo printer, and the results are amazing! The prints look just like those I've ordered online, but for a much lower cost. This is a great paper for photographers who want smaller prints that really stand out.

This paper is astounding. It adds a dimension that you don't get in other papers. If you view the image from different angles you really see the shimmer from the metallic. It makes colors really pop, especially if you have a shallow depth of field. Things that are normally metallic in real life really shine (pun intended) or things with lots of color like butterflies with iridescent wings really stand out. Have not tried it on B&W images so don't know how well it would work for that. It works very nicely with my Canon Pro9000 printer. Per Inkpress's website, no special ICC profile needed for Canon printers, just set the software to glossy paper. Definitely now my go-to paper.

Not only does this papper make cars come alive with realism, it makes landscapes in color or black and color pop, like no other paper I've ever used. I would highly recomend this paper to anyone who wants to make a substantial difference in their important images.

Recently had some photos printed at the local photo shop for $20 a piece. The prints made on this paper are just as nice and were printed with my Canon9000 printer at home!
Others have commented that they looked better than metallic prints they had through other print shops.
I will definitely be buying more, and looking at larger sizes.
