The Optoma Universal (24pin) to VGA 0.5 m f/ PK201/PK301 is a rather long name for a short (19.7"/50 m) cable. Let us explain.
Optoma makes these great little projectors, among them the PK201 and the PK301. Optoma calls them Pico Projectors. They're so small there isn't enough space to fit all of the different input and output connectors you might need. So Optoma engineers created what they dubbed a Universal 24 pin I/O connector. Now they can go crazy creating all sorts of cables to meet your needs. One end plugs into the Universal connector and the other end can have whatever plug or plugs you need.
In this case the "other end" contains a standard VGA connector. So this short cable with the long name allows you to pump VGA computer video into your PK201 or PK301 Pico Projector.

Comments about Optoma Technology Universal (24pin) to VGA 0.5 m for PK201/PK301:
I was about to send my Mini projector packing because I could not find the recommended "Universal" In/Out Cable. I checked a similar brand of projector and cross referenced it to mine. I took a gamble and it paid off. This is exactly what I needed for my IGo Mini Portable projector; plugged it in to projector, plugged the other end to the laptop and worked. The only "shortcoming" its the length of the cord (1 1/2 Ft; for a longer length you need a male/female VGA extender.

Comments about Optoma Technology Universal (24pin) to VGA 0.5 m for PK201/PK301:
Ok, I have a pk301 and it's a great projector. Now the cable is not working, so It's necessary to buy another universal 24-pin to vga 0,5, ok? So, I need to pay $30 + $30 because I don't find this cable or a generic cable here to buy.
So, the cable is too expensive! And Optoma shoud send this cable to be find in another countries like Brasil and others.
The optoma engineer staff was brilliant to create this plug for the product but forgot completly the acessibility details.

Comments about Optoma Technology Universal (24pin) to VGA 0.5 m for PK201/PK301:
I bought this because I broke the original one (included in the PK301 package).
It simply works as it should.
The cable is really short (as advertised: same length as the one in the box) and the only solution is to buy/use a VGA dongle cable (I haven't found anyone selling it with a longer cable)
I bought this just because I needed it. If you can choose other connection (I couldn't), save your money.

Comments about Optoma Technology Universal (24pin) to VGA 0.5 m for PK201/PK301:
I initially could not get the PK301 to talk to my MacBook Pro, but after getting this connector and my Mac VGA adaptor, I can finally use the projector! Decent, solid connection all around.
