Comments about Bower VLB3858 0.38x Super Wide Angle Lens (58mm Thread, Black):
I purchased the Bower wide angle add on lens to shoot interiors of houses for real estate. It is a great add on to my Fugi HS30 camera, it allows me to get more in the photo for a very small price. Instead of carrying around extra full size lenses and forget about the cost, this is a great alternative. The results are pretty good and it doesn't break the bank. Just a fun add on when you can't quite back up far enough to get it all in. I will be experimenting with this lens on my next vacation to williamsburg to shoot interiors of the buildings. Have some fun, get the lens, and see everything.

Comments about Bower VLB3858 0.38x Super Wide Angle Lens (58mm Thread, Black):
I bought this lens for pictures in the home where it is hard to get everybody in the shot. There are black edges on close ups and blurry edges when you zoom out but I find that appealing and it does not bother me. The other use I have for it, is panaramic senic shots and have no problems with image. When zoomed all the way out I have not experienced any out of focus areas. No more than I take shots like these, I couldn't justify buying a wide angle lens. This does the job perfect for what I want.

When I first received this I didn't like it much and felt cheated but then I started playing with the aperture on my camera and noticed that when using with an aperture between f/8 to f/22 with a shutter speed between 200 to 1/4 the pictures were a lot less blury.
I use this for Real Estate photography and I like it alot.
Thank you

Comments about Bower VLB3858 0.38x Super Wide Angle Lens (58mm Thread, Black):
This attachment provides a stunning range of vision for interiors and any outdoor area where you just can't back up enough to get everything you want into the frame. Out the door for under $50 is amazing.
If there are negatives, it's that you have to be careful not to zoom out too far, as it will produce rounded black edges on the image (although these can easily be cropped with minimal effect on the photo). Also, something that can be both negative and positive is that when fully or almost fully zoomed out, the image can be a little blurry on the edges. This can be negative if you just want a clean landscape, but for portraits and some environmental photos, it adds a nice sense of motion.

Comments about Bower VLB3858 0.38x Super Wide Angle Lens (58mm Thread, Black):
My son who is a graphics art design major loves it. It will enhance his picture taking abilities immensely and it is easy to use. The only thing I didn't know to do was buy a 55mm to 58mm ring adaptor so the lens would fit his Nikon D3000. It was only a couple of bucks. This lens is a lot cheaper than some $600 counterparts too.

Comments about Bower VLB3858 0.38x Super Wide Angle Lens (58mm Thread, Black):
This item is very heavy as compared to the lens itself but it feels durable and compact. Packaging was good and impressive. It was made in Japan. When I attached it to my lens the results were not great probably because I did not test it before buying. Prism and reflections appear when shot in sunlight. At low light you will have encounter difficulty. Make sure your lens is starting at 18 mm otherwise it will result in vignette. Just test if first before buying. Honestly i wasn't able to use it.
