Comments about Manfrotto Mid-level Spreader:
Purchased a fleet of tripods with these spreaders for a student film program. I personally have seen 3 snap in action while folding or unfolding a tripod. The steel is brittle and poorly manuafactured at the joints.

Comments about Manfrotto Mid-level Spreader:
Cast Aluminum clips can break if the legs are closed forcefully or the spreader is in the tightened position when closing. Requires a bit more care than the floor spreader but provides great stability.

Comments about Manfrotto Mid-level Spreader:
Sturdy spreader, great for uneven terrain, replaced my ground-spreader, easy locking system, backwards compatible with older manfrotto tripods
