I absolutely love these gloves. I purchased a pair for myself and the minute they were out of the packaging, I knew I had to tell everyone about them! Within days I found myself ordering another pair to give to one of my photography buddies. My hands were so warm in these gloves and oh what a joy to be able to flip back just the index or thumb on either glove to get my settings on my camera right. I highly recommend these gloves!

I purchased these gloves, expecting them to keep my hands warm while using my DSLR camera -- without using glove liners.

The gloves are warm. Unfortunately the thumb and finger tip covers naturally tend to be more off the finger tips than on them. Even when the covers are on, there is a gap between them and the rest of the gloves. And that can get cold during normal wear. I haven't tried them with silk glove liners yet.

Comments about Freehands Ladies Ragg Wool Knit/Thinsulate Glove (M/L):

I asked for these for Xmas because I work in TV News and my hands are always active outside. I need the ability to have my fingers free to adjust focus, zoom, and record options. I like the gloves they are warm, and easy to adjust but I ordered the small and the size is still large for me, for some reason gloves never fit my pointer and thumb fingers. So be aware they might size different. Another con I found was that the lining does not extend to the cuff of the gloves and that's where it rubs the most and the wool makes me itchy. Otherwise, they are very warm gloves that are very useful for photographers who need finger dexterity in the field. Though your finger ends will be cold when exposed to the elements.

Comments about Freehands Ladies Ragg Wool Knit/Thinsulate Glove (M/L):

Warm! We've been having a record cold/snowy winter and these gloves have been great. On one sunny 30 degree day I had to take them off as soon as I got in the car because my hands were hot. If you're out in 10-25 degrees, these are perfect. Of course the uncovered fingers can get cold fast but it's worth the agility these gloves provide.
The only downside is I have long fingers and the finger length is a tad too short.

These would have been perfect if they were available in a larger size. They were warm, and the style is so practical for winter photography. I needed a larger size that was not available.

These gloves are much warmer than I expected. They fit great in the palm, but the fingers are a bit too long. The flip-top on the thumbs feel slightly awkward. The PVC grips are perfect - nothing will slip through your hands with these gloves! Overall, the gloves keep my hands warm while I'm working with a camera or any touch-screen device.

I use gloves whenever I am on any wildlife photography shoot in cool or wet weather conditions. Before I purchased Freehands, I wore fingerless gloves or ragg wool convertible mittens. With Freehands, I no longer have to fumble with taking off my gloves or removing the "hood" of the mittens to focus and fire the camera. The exposed index and thumb also allows me to use my cellphone and computer while in the field.
