The versatile ExpoImaging Rogue FlashBender Small Positionable Reflector can be used either as a reflector to bounce light onto a subject, as a flag to shield light away from it or as a small snoot to produce a wide circle of light. Because of its size, it is easy to throw in a camera bag and is perfect for use on or off the camera. The design incorporates 2 positionable rods that allows it to be molded into position and held in place.
This FlashBender is made from the highest quality materials, including genuine Cordura nylon. The white reflective surface is made from a durable, wipeable, synthetic fabric which has been tested for neutrality so that it won't alter the color temperature of the reflected light.
This Rogue FlashBender requires no separate attachment strap, nor any adhesives to be applied to the strobe. The easy attachment belt built into this FlashBender is designed to work with all makes and models of shoe mount flashes.

This thing is great. It's one of the best pieces of kit in my arsenal. It allows me to put light where I want it & nowhere else.
I've only used it a handful of times in the week or two since I purchased it, but if I'm not shooting through an umbrella, odds are this thing is on the flash shaping the light to where I want it.
It attaches to the camera with a velcro strap (no glue on your strap, you just wrap it around the head). It's just about big enough so that if you form a snoot, it'll cover the whole of my Nikon SB600- I'm not sure this would work so well on larger flash units like my Vivitar 285hv.
It's basically a large sheet with gray on the inside & black on the outside and two rubbery strips that hold their position to allow you to shape it however you want. There are tiny velcro strips at the four corners that hold it in place when you shape it as a snoot. A bit more velcro would be welcome as the center area tends to gap & light may leak out when as a snoot. Perhaps a piece of velcro in the center of the 'snoot' configuration.
I've used it as a gobo (to prevent stray light from hitting the lens), and my new favorite - the half-snoot. An upside down 'u' shape that allows you to light the model's whole body & nothing else. In this shape, the light coming out of the flash is ever so slightly softened by the internal reflections, though I wouldn't call it soft light.
I guess you could use it as a bounce card if necessary, but it's not so sturdy that I'd keep it on my camera while walking around and if I have time to set up and I want to soften the flash, I'm using an umbrella.
All in all, this is a very useful piece of gear that can be used to limit where light goes. It's sturdy and I expect to get years of use out of it. When I'm done with it, I slip it back in the cardboard sleeve it came in & put it in the laptop area of my backpack. You could roll it up & dump it in your gear bag too, but I'd rather keep the velcro fresh by not exposing it to lint or whatever in my bag.

I have used it mostly as a snoot. I can see that it could serve as a reflector, will be trying that when the opportunity presents. 4 stars, because it could be a couple bucks cheaper.

Comments about ExpoImaging Rogue FlashBender Small Positionable Reflector:
I use the larger flash bender for my flash. This one stays in my camera bag for use as an extension or substitute for a lens hood. I do a lot of landscape work and there are those times when no matter what I do, I will still get lens flair. I can attach this, bend it to where it needs to be and no more lens flair. Sure, I could use a hat or hand, but this lets me be more precise and if necessary shoot without needing to see throught the viewfinder. And, I can use it on a second flash if needed.

I love this flashbender. One thing though. Learn on your own time before you try to use it professionally. It works when you have a baseline set up in your mind.

I control the light with it.
Example, I shot a wedding and focused the flash light only on the couple while dancing.

It is nice to have on your camera's bag and light weight. Rogue flash bender can direct the light in different direction to how you wanted. I would recommend it.

Comments about ExpoImaging Rogue FlashBender Small Positionable Reflector:
This is a great reflector, when you don't have any good white surfaces to bounce light off, and you want to avoid the direct flash look. It does fall off the flash if you invert your camera. Because its bendable you can have some control over the direction of the light on your subject.

The flashbender makes aiming and diffusing your light very easy. It is a relatively cheap but gives very big results. I have found that using this as a snoot even more effective and use this feature more than the reflector. Great for product photography

Having used the Rogue Flashbender for several months now, I've found it to be a very handy lighting accessory that provides a number of set-up options. The attachment system fits easily on several different flash units and it stays on while still providing portability and compactness when not in use. The flexibility of the reflector allows me to change the configuration (e.g., different lighting angles, snoot) and character of the light without having to switch between different accessories. The color of the resultant light also appears to be relatively neutral.

Comments about ExpoImaging Rogue FlashBender Small Positionable Reflector:
First, don't expect miracles using flash on the camera - beyond that, this is a decent flash modifier, attaches well to the flash, and is easy to use.
For off-camera flash, and for controlling the light, this is a handy tool and works within the bounds of physics.
For on-camera flash, good luck rolling the stone up-hill - it may or may not help you.

I have a Panasonic DMW-FL360 flash and thing fits it perfectly. I've used it for several pictures of a demolition derby car being built--got good pictures in tight places, i.e. under the hood and all around the car inside the shop. I could get more even illumination than I expected!

I use the rogue to help me bounce flash behind the camera while flagging the forward spill of light I works great, and really helps disguise the use of flash! Also works well as a snoot.
