Cheap but effective... maybe a little heavier than advertised.
Extension snaps a little hard on cold fingers.

Comments about Velbon UP-400 4-Section Monopod:
At first this Monopod seemed to be sturdy even with larger lenses. After a couple shoots one of the clamps completely broke. I am needing to send it back to the factory now for replacement. It is inexpensive, you get what you pay for. Pay the extra money and get a better quality system.

Comments about Velbon UP-400 4-Section Monopod:
I needed to support an slr with a 100-400 lens on a safari. The open vehicles in south africa have no space to rest a beanbag on, and there is no room for a tripod. For most shots I only partially extended the monopod, and placed it on the seat while I shot. A small joby ball head was used for addtional adustment. Very solid and lightweight. small enough to fit in my carry on bag as well. Great value!
