This Pearstone Duo Battery Charger for Select Sony NPF-, NPFM-, and NP-QM Series Batteries conveniently charges two batteries simultaneously, drawing power from either an AC wall source (an AC cord with two-prong plug is included) or a 12/24V DC power source (a DC car charger is also included). Additionally, the Duo Charger features a USB power output to charge & power MP3 players, phones, digital cameras, and other devices with a USB power input.
With two easily interchangeable plates, the intelligent charger can also be used for other battery models that are not listed above – via the separate purchase of an additional battery plate that's compatible with the intended battery model.
The intelligent charger features an LCD display that graphically shows charge status for both batteries. This allows you to test batteries instantaneously, so you can easily decide which Li-ion cells to bring with you for the day. With protection against overcharging, overheating, and short circuit, the Duo Charger safely, conveniently, and quickly recharges up to two compatible Li-ion batteries and one USB-powered device.

Bought two units so I could charge multiple batteries at once, which I use for on-camera LED lights and on-camera monitor. It takes awhile to charge these batteries, so if I want continuous use for a longer shoot, then I'll need multiple batteries, because I'll go through the batteries in less time than it takes to charge them up. So, I'll have to have all batteries charging at the same time to get back to action.
These units serve as battery testers when not plugged in. They read both battery voltage and charge level. They do not refurbish the batteries, but they're pretty good for charging and keep you informed on how its going.
I've come to realize that virtually everything in video is mission-critical, so it really means you've got to be prepared for anything.
Like battle, you've got to have spares and back up plans. While on a shoot you don't have time to figure things out. You've got to be instantly ready to move to plan B, without drama and delay.
I've experienced batteries lined up waiting to be charged while the charger is busy working on the first battery. Multiple chargers take the risk out of the possible failures or contingencies, including the possibility that a charger itself may fail.

I bought this charger for the Pearstone Sony mount batteries which power my LED bricks. The only drawback is that the battery plates slide off on occasion, but that's a rather menial bit compared to the overall usefulness of this product. The LCD display is fantastic for checking the charge on each battery. I have not had a use for the USB port yet, but I know it will come in handy as work picks up.

Although this charger comes with the adapters to charge Sony NP stype batteries, it's great that this thing will charge batteries of various makes with optional additional adapters. The only unfortunate aspect is that these plates do not seat well when correctly connected. In fact, they often come off just by disconnecting the battery once the charging cycle is completed. It's kind of a shame, since I don't anticipate needing this same charger to charge other makes of batteries, and it's cheap enough that I'd probably just buy another anyway, due to the slow speed of the charging process of large Sony NP batteries in the first place.
I can't take any points off for slow charging speed, since the Sony charger that shipped with my camera seems to take a similar amount of time to charge a battery. I suppose it's just the nature of these batteries (NP-F970 = about five hours when completely discharged). And, I get the benefit of being able to charge up two simultaneously with this thing. So, extra value there.
In the end, it's a great value, and a solid performer. Recommended with the above caveats!

This charger works well to charge two batteries simultaneously. I don't know how it compares with Sony's own dual charger options, but for the NP-F970 batteries, you can count on a long charge for an empty battery. It takes about 6 hours, in my experience, but at least it does two at a time.
The interchangeable battery slots are prone to becoming dislodged from the actual charger. So, be careful when transporting, that you don't lose or otherwise break them. It's a bit of a design flaw that they release too easily. But, otherwise I give high marks, and the LCD readouts are nice, too.

Nifty looking charger that allows you to easily swap plates to charge batteries of a different brand. I use it to charge Sony NP and Canon BP batteries. Batteries can be hard to get it but not a big deal. I did snap off a little plastic peg off one charging plate due to this but it seems to have had no ill-effect. LCD display is cool and informative however it does take forever to get from 95% to 100% so not sure how accurate it is.

Brilliant and versatile idea being able to have one device to charge different batteries. I have some space on my desk! The battery plates are easily swappable. Some have suggested that it is a problem taking the battery off because the plate comes with it, however, one soon develops a technique to prevent this happening. The charging is not super fast but hey it gets the job done and importantly two at a time. It would be a nice touch if they included a plug suitable for Australian needs.

Worked as advertised but interchangeable adapter for Sony battery releases from the charger base with the battery when you remove the charged battery. A better design to keep it in place would be nice. A quick fix for the end user: cut a small piece of double stick foam tape (3M type) and put it between the end of the adapter and the charger body. So far so good.
