This Baryta paper has a look and feel that reminds me of my silver gelatin print days. It even smells like my old AGFA paper.

The ability to print highlight detail is amazing. I can differentiate whites up to an RGB number of 253 on this paper with my printer and the blacks are deep and rich. Excellent color reproduction.

It is the smoothest texture gloss that I have found for that out of the darkroom look. At 320gsm it has a wonderful "heft" and feel to it. Use the front load feature of your desktop printer for best results.

Eliminating gloss differential on my gloss prints has been a crusade with me since the advent of pigmented inks on desktop printers. This paper produces the least amount of gloss differential that I have seen with a gloss paper. Any discernible gloss differential ranges from "have to look hard to find it" for a very few saturated color prints to nonexistent. Gloss differential from pigmented inks is a non issue for me with this paper.

Hahnemuhle is now producing it for Harmon (at a 10% increase in price...my only complaint) but you do get what you pay for. I would rate this paper one of the best for it's class and category and it is not overpriced or even the highest priced when compared with comparable papers.

I use this paper exclusively for all of my full gloss prints.

This had been my favorite paper (Epson R1800) for several years, and it was affordable. In fact, I loved it. Now that the Hahnemuhle name is on it, it is quite a bit more expensive, so I am looking for a new favorite paper. I used to buy boxes of 15 sheets. Then I made the mistake of buying a box of 50 sheets, and the edges of the paper were getting grazed by the printhead on my printer, leaving awful black streaks, rendering the print unusable. Then I noticed that the sheets in the box of 50 had a slight curl to the edges, thus the black streaks. I always used the "thick paper" setting in the driver so that is not the reason this happened. The box of 15 never had the curl. I think this is a paper packaging flaw that only happens with larger quantities. I loved the quality of the surface and the color on this paper.

Comments about Harman By Hahnemuhle Gloss Baryta Inkjet Paper (8.5 x 11" , 30 Sheets):

A great looking paper capable of producing wonderful prints. Very smooth surface, not overly glossy, nice thickness. I really like this paper for color prints. B&W as well, but would rather make a traditional print if given the option. The one major problem with this paper it that it has a curl on one edge. I recommend placing the paper between two sheets of glass or plexi with some weight on it overnight before use. I'm using the Epson 3880 with this paper and the curl ends up catching ink on its way out if its not flattened. I also set the platen gap to wide. Taking there two percausions fixes any issues with the curl.

Comments about Harman By Hahnemuhle Gloss Baryta Inkjet Paper (8.5 x 11" , 30 Sheets):

This is a very good glossy paper with a great surface and feel, however, the entire box has too much edge curl which continues to get caught up and strikes the print head of my Epson 3880 printer, causing ink smears, usually in the last inch or two of the print. I notified the manufacturer and they could not mention any remedy for this problem. So I have stopped using it altogether.

I recently started using this paper after having printed on the Harman Matt Cotton Smooth for over a year. While I've read about some early QC issues with the paper, I have yet to experience any problems. I print color exclusively and the prints are sharp and bright.

I bought this paper after reading some of the comments left by others.

It may become my go-to paper for glossy photos. The colors were really accurate. I like the thickness.

I'll be interested to see how it does with black & white.

This is best paper to match a fine B&W darkroom print, or even outdo it!
Excellent color and tonal fidelity, it is unsurpassed to resolve the widest range of detail into the depths and highlights of the original. Singular product.

Difficult to find readily, unfortunately expensive, particularly after Hahnemhule merged with Harman, reducing the sheet count nearly in half and also increasing the retail price on top of that to boot! Bad.

Things that are nice: Nice weight, less curling than the classic Harman Photo FB AL, this may save me from rolling the paper and worrying about head strikes.

Things that *may* not be so nice: not the same as Harman Glossy FB AL. The paper has a slight brown tone.

This paper is the closest I've seen to an old school fiber print. It doesn't have that undesirable glossy paper look of ink sitting ON TOP of the paper. It's great for color output but B/W is where it really feels like something new and special. Great detail, density, and feel. Unfortunately, my box is all curled and the ink head of my Epson has been catching on the very last pass on every page. Printing with large borders seems OK, but borderless printing, or small borders is a bit problematic. I'm hoping it's just my printer, because the paper is great.

Just tried this paper in my Epson 3880. I like this paper a lot for both color and black and white. For color images, it has a wide color gamut and the print looks very much like traditional chemical prints. The colors have a depth and richness to them - absolutely beautiful. The black and white prints are also stunning - very deep rich blacks. I have compared this paper to Epson premium luster and Ilford Gold Fiber silk, and think it is the best of the three for landscapes. The only negatives are the high price and the fact that my box of paper curles upwards at the end. The curling did not cause a printing problem - its just that the paper does not lie completely flat.
