Comments about Harman By Hahnemuhle Gloss Baryta Inkjet Paper (13 x 19" , 30 Sheets):

This is the only baryta inkjet paper that, for me, has the surface of a traditional gloss baryta paper. In my opinion the other "barytas" have far too much stipple and look like other semi-gloss papers in this respect. Not that the Canson, Hahnemuhle, and Ilford barytas aren't great papers but they're similar surface wise. I've also had a problem with the gloss differential when using these papers, save for the Canson platine which is a totally different beast and is another paper which stands out in its singularity.

In comparison, the Harman surface looks like traditional Oriental FB papers and there is -no- gloss differential when printing with K3 inks. This is particularly important to me as I often work with multiple images on the same print and I don't want the white of the paper to have a different gloss than the inked portion. I've used this paper for both b+w images and color and while it's great for black and white, I use this as my go-to paper for color. The gamut and dmax are excellent, the paper itself is very durable and doesn't scratch as easily as the Ilford and Canson (which will scratch if you give them a funny look).

Regarding the curl problem mentioned, I haven't found the larger sizes (beyond 8.5 x 11) to have a problem with curling but it's worth noting that the smaller size does have this problem. With this paper just make sure you set the platen gap of the printer to wide.

It's a great paper, definitely one worth trying!

Comments about Harman By Hahnemuhle Gloss Baryta Inkjet Paper (13 x 19" , 30 Sheets):

Great glossy paper. Very good weight. There is some bronzing that keeps it from being five stars. It is a bit expensive.

Comments about Harman By Hahnemuhle Gloss Baryta Inkjet Paper (13 x 19" , 30 Sheets):

When this paper was directly made by Harman they made a 17x25 paper size.
Now made by Hahnemuhle the largest size is 17x22. If you use this paper please contact them and persist that they make the larger size. May not seem much difference but does in presentation.

Comments about Harman By Hahnemuhle Gloss Baryta Inkjet Paper (13 x 19" , 30 Sheets):

Nothing has changed with this fine paper. Harman has simply partnered with Hahnemuhle to take advantage of Hahnemuhle's large distribution network. I've used this paper since before their partnership and can testify that it has always had a natural tendency to curl along the edges. This was noted years ago when the paper came to market. If anyone has any questions about this excellent "photo" paper, "Google" it and follow the link to an in depth review at (I believe) luminouslandscape. I'm an award winning photographer and insist on perfection in the final image. Believe me, this is a fine paper with true traditional photo-reproduction qualities.

Comments about Harman By Hahnemuhle Gloss Baryta Inkjet Paper (13 x 19" , 30 Sheets):

Color reproduction is similar to the original Harman Baryta. Newer Harman by Hahnemuhle is a thicker paper and it curls. The only way to get it through my Epson R2400 without having the edges nicked or shredded is to flatten the paper for 24 hours. Not happy about that at all.
