PEC-12 Photo Emulsion Cleaner is a non-water based film and print cleaner which removes virtually all non-water based stains from color and black & white slides, negatives, and prints.
PEC-12 removes grease pencil, adhesive residue, finger oils, ball-point pen, fungus, smoke & soot damage, laser separation oil and most permanent inks. PEC-12 dries instantly with no emulsion swelling and leaves no residue.

This product removes minor dirt from my photos, but didn't visibly degrade them.

I like it--it cleans the surface of most contaminants (not so good on water stains--these respond better to distilled water). I use it with the same manufacturer's lintless wipes.

A little goes a long way. If you have old prints or negs this is the only stuff to clean them with.
