Pec-Pad Photo Wipes are the ideal photo wipes for those who hate photowipes. Until Pec-Pad's came along, photowipes fell apart, left lint and scratched emulsions.
Pec-Pad's are so soft they can be safely used to clean all types of sensitive surfaces : scanners, CD's, mirrors, lenses, telescopes etc. The 4 x 4" (10 cm.sq.) wipes are perfect for cleaning 35mm lenses and other small areas.
Note! Pec-Pad's are not recommended for cleaning the CCD. It is not the same material used in the Sensor Swabs. PSI does not approve or warranty the CCD or any camera part from any damage caused by using non approved products

I use these to clean my CCD (low pass filter). I use Eclipse cleaning solution and a homemade tool that I wrap the Pec-Pad around. This works great and only costs about 9 cents per cleaning. I don't recommend this to everyone. You need some skill... if you doubt this just send your camera to the manufacturer to get it cleaned. You can also use them to clean the optics. Works great for that also.

I bought this product based on the many many excellent reviews. I have to say that I am deeply disappointed. I bought these pads in conjunction with the zeiss cleaning fluid. I spray a pec pad and wipe the lense clean. Then take a new dry pec pad to polish it. There is no lint, but under a bright light there are thick streaks. I could NOT get the lense clean. In fact, I made it worse because the lense only had dust on it previously and now it was plagued with streaks. Thinking that the problem might be the zeiss fluid I even tested with another isoprophyl alchol and the same result. The only way I could get my lenses perfectly clean and streak free was by using a plain ole eyeglass cloth with the zeiss fluid. Save your money and buy a regular microfiber cloth and skip the pec pads!

I use these to clean old 8mm and 16mm film prior to capturing to DVDs. The texture of this product is perfect for use with an anti-static cleaning solution.

I really like the fact that these are a one time use product so you know there is nothing on them to cause scratching on your lenses.
I do find that they are not very absorbent and saturate easily so you may need a second pad to finish the job.

I would not trust any other paper to clean my sensors. Pecpads are a must if you clean your own camera sensors.

I really don't understand how this has gotten such great reviews. I bought it solely on the reviews and I am so disappointed. They do not absorb anything! They leave your lens all streaky. It's horrible. I am going to stick with standard lens tissue.

I bought it to clean sensor but I first tried with a lens. Although it doesn't live a lint, it does live streaks that are easily polished with glasses cleaning cloth. So it maybe good for something but microfiber cloth will work better tan this.

I use the wipes on my Nikon D7000 lenses. I use them dry and they take off all the lint and wipe the lens clean of print or smudges.
My online photography instructor uses them and recommends them to all his students and on his website. That was how I heard about them. And of course I love B&H photo. Their service is always quick and reliable.

Comments about Photographic Solutions Pec-Pad Photo Wipes (4 x 4", 100 Pack):
The quality of these photo wipes is excellent. The surface is very smooth so it will not scratch. However, if you use them with a cleaning fluid they do not absorb very much. I guess it is a trade off. If I need them to clean a lens I usually just use hot breath on the lens before I wipe. My breath is much less moisture and the pads can handle it.

I always used these Pec-Pads to clean my lenses. They work great especially in combination with a proper lens cleaning solution. I bought these recently for my dad who is also a photographer. Actually he is the one who told me about these.

I got these to keep in my backpack and clean my lenses when needed. They do a great job with or without (breathe on the lens a wipe) any cleaning fluid.
Good size, good amount for the price. Glad I got them.

I used these wipes to clean grime off of glass plate negatives and they held up well even with some areas of the base that were extremely soiled.

[...] They are perfect for cleaning glass and are tough and able to stand up to cleaning all parts of camera gear. I like how I can use a fresh new one to clean glass, and then when it's slightly dirty, I can clean the body of a lens or a part that is not optical/glass. Because these pads are so tough and gentle, I can do alot of cleaning with these pads. Great pads for sure!

These are much nicer that typical lens tissue. The are thick, soft, and more robust than others I have used. These will be my go to cleaning pads for all my pro series lenses and cameras moving forward.

Comments about Photographic Solutions Pec-Pad Photo Wipes (4 x 4", 100 Pack):
Great pack of wipes. They're big enough to do two sides of 35mm slides or film at once but small enough so they're not cumbersome. Only con i see is when the wipe catches on an edge of film or slide it can tear out fibers, but are easily cleaned or picked off. 100 is a lot but you might be surprised how fast you can go through a package. ;) I used them to both wipe off dust that wouldn't blow off with air, as well as remove stuck on paper/emulsion/magazine from photos in combination with the PEC Solution. After scanning in the what appeared to be damaged and irrecoverable photo I was able to rub off/peel/scrape off the stuck on mess without any problems or damage.
