I do not regret this size allthough it is large for a speedlight, I luckily have sonys hvl-f58am's so power is not an issue for me, but with using it only indoors which produced great light, I am reluctant to take it outside yet, it is still a little two windy this spring. The build and quality are spectacular, set up is a cinch and very well designed, easy to use, you cannot go wrong with a lastolite. Will definately be buying another speedlight softbox from them.

Opens up in about 60 seconds...easy peasy to use and connnect...

I like the portability factor and the fact you don't have to use any bars to hold it open like the Octabox.....I like taking outside enviro portraits and this is the ticket for me.

HUGE! That is all i need to say. But these are totally worth it.

SInce they are sooo huge, I think that they should make a set of block-out panels to turn this 30x30 into a 12 x 30 strip bank if needed.

I use this a ton for portraits on location (engagement sessions/weddings/lifestyle portraits). I usually have this on a Manfrotto Monopod (I have an assistant hold it up for me) or on a lightstand. Great large softbox for great light. SUPER EASY TO SET UP and use (I wouldn't have bought it if that was not the case).
The one con/problem I have run into is the HUGE size of it causes it to be more susceptable to being caught in the wind.

Basically, if you want a SUPER easy to use light modifier, this is PERFECT!

The 30x30 Lastolite EZYBOX is a excellent compliment to their 24x24. The larger size is what I was looking for. To some it may be a tad bulky but you soon ignore that after you use it a few times. Spreads the light well.

I use this for product photography and portraits. It is my first soft box, having come from using shoot-thru and reflector umbrellas. I use 580EXII and 430EXII strobes with it. Either one is completely useful with the EzyBox.

I have to say that I am absolutely amazed how nicely this lights the subject. The build quality is outstanding. Some have expressed concerns about the plastic mount being strong enough as compared to the old metal design, but it is perfectly fine.

The only issues I have with the mounting plate is that it is barely tall enough to situate a 580EXII on top of a PocketWizard Flex and still get the flash head through the hole into the soft box. It does work, but the vertical adjustment is at it's maximum limit. Shorter flashes have no problems.

Since the EzyBox is just a spring fit to the mounting plate, I can easily see the the ExyBox falling off of the mounting plate in only a small breeze. I have only used it indoors so far, and haven't had any problems. I might have to figure out some kind of bungee rig if I take it outdoors.

Overall, I really like the EzyBox. It lights nicely, sets up quickly, and is easy to transport.

The most remarkable thing about this softbox is how well it's made. All of the stitching appears to be quite rugged, and the materials seem durable. I also like the fact that it comes with a carrying case. In use, the softbox helps project beautiful, window-like light from a speedlight. Personally, I find the color temperature to be slightly more blue than the 28" Westcott Apollo. One advantage this design has over the Westcott "umbrella-style" box is that it's much easier to get this box much lower to the ground. (With an umbrella-style box, the hinges to control the light stand's height may end up in the softbox, itself.) One disadvantage to the EZYBOX is that--as shipped--there is no mechanism to tilt the box once mounted on the light stand. You'll either have to use a boom or get an additional piece of hardware in between the stand and the EZY's mount.

I was building a home photo studio. This EZYBOX was an apparent choise for me as I wanted a large softbox that I could use with my flashlight SB900. It has two layers to soften the light. You can add another layer by putting a diffuser on a flash itself. It is very easy to assemble and very sturdy on a strobe. I would be carefull using it outdoor though. Overall it is a good substitute for pricier strobe light softboxes.

Creates great soft light for speed lights. However, not the most portable of soft boxes (due to it's size).

This thing is huge. Yep, I saw the dimensions, but didn't really pay attention. I mean my 32" umbrella seems small, so i thought this would run the same. Um. No.

The setup is great. Quality solid. Just huge for my light assistant to hold in tiny spaces or outside in windy conditions

This soft box is nice. It is big. It has 2 Velcro diffuser sheets. I use it with my 580ex ii and find it makes beautiful light for doing portraits. It also folds up which is nice when you don't have room for a lot of equipment.

The 30X30 EZYBOX is a great large source and effective for portraits and small foods. It is easy and quick to setup and the two layers of diffusion make the quality of light very soft. It is quite big and can be difficult in small spaces. The downside is that it can be difficult to work with in windy conditions because of its size and the way it pinch-mounts to the flash bracket. A decent impact could also cause it to fall off of the mount so be careful. Overall it is a great soft box and valuable addition to my kit.

Super easy to set up and fairly light to take on locatin with ease. I would suggest this for eny photographer who is looking to add in that extra bit of light on location. You have to have a pretty strong flash or place the softbax within 6 or so feet of the subject to get a strong visual of the light. Great for adding the sparkle in the eyes.

Big box with beautiful light. Heavier than I thought and the stand barely and bracket barely hold it. Bracket could be better designed as I am worried that it will break over time. This one will not fit in your laptop bag ;)
