This PNY Technologies 16' (4.9 m) Mini HDMI to HDMI Cable (C to A) is a high-quality cable that is ideal for use with any equipment that supports 1080p video. It uses triple-shielded 36 gauge internal conductors, for a clear and clean signal transfer. It is certified to fully support the HDMI specification.
HDMI is an all-digital audio/video interface capable of transmitting uncompressed streams. HDMI provides an interface between any compatible digital audio/video source, such as a set-top box, a DVD player, a video game system, or an AV receiver and a compatible digital audio and/or video monitor, such as a digital television (HDTV).
In addition to an ultra-high capacity of 10.2 Gbps bandwidth (far in excess of the throughput needed for 1080p video), this HDMI cable supports resolutions up to 4096 x 2160p at 24Hz as used in state of the art digital theaters.

Comments about PNY Technologies 16' (4.9 m) Mini HDMI to HDMI Cable (C to A):
I've used this cable for a few shoots and it's great on location. I use an external computer monitor plugged into a T3i for puppet shots. Helps the actors to see thier position as well. Only gave 4 stars as the cable is a little bit on the thin side, but so far so good.

The cable is thin but has bad connection ends and it lost picture very easily. I am returning it and going with thicker cable.

Comments about PNY Technologies 16' (4.9 m) Mini HDMI to HDMI Cable (C to A):
What's there to say to the fully informed, all HDMI cables are, but for price, essentially the same. (With digital data, 1's & 0's, they either arrive at the other end of the transmission or they don't. For a more technically complete discussion, there's an article on the C/Net website by Geoffrey Morrison, "Why All HDMI Cables Are The Same.") This cable is as good as any, and better than most if, like me, you sometimes need the extra length. I keep mine in my camera bag with my Canon EOS 50D so that I'll be sure to have it when I wish to review a photo session on an HDTV.

Comments about PNY Technologies 16' (4.9 m) Mini HDMI to HDMI Cable (C to A):
I am using the product to connect my Canon T3i to a HD monitor for video production. It has given me good results so far. There is a little more noise in theimage than what I was expecting given everything is in HD, but the length of the cable is what I wanted. The construction of the cable looks to be top notch. [...]
