The Power Saving Back-UPS Pro 1500 (120V) from APC provides power to your important computer components in the event of an electrical outage. The Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) contains a battery which continues to power computers, monitors and other components if the electricity is cut from them. An LCD status display provides information including remaining battery life, load capacity, and event notices. The battery is hot-swappable and easy to replace. An audible alarm alerts you of events like power outage and low battery, and the unit delivers battery-powered AC.

Comments about APC Power Saving Back-UPS Pro 1500 (120V):
Was having issues with my power breaker tripping and this device let me be able to monitor how much power I would be able to use and so on. It is great to be able to have your work saves if power goes out.

Comments about APC Power Saving Back-UPS Pro 1500 (120V):
When my 6-7 year old unit went 'POW' one day (literally!) I started looking for its replacement
immediately. B&H is always my first choice.
The internet has largely replaced driving around and shopping and it quickly showed me a better product for my needs wasn't available.
There is *nothing* that "isn't great about it" with features (digital) to keep track of power supplied and its usage. Amazing!
Thanks B&H..!!

Comments about APC Power Saving Back-UPS Pro 1500 (120V):
A straight forward unit that seems to do what it should, HOWEVER, the instructions are less then helpful and the battery died in less then 2 months. A new battery runs $60+.
Also, the two master outlets are too close to each other, which doesn't allow for more then one "transformer" type plug at a time, SO where do I plug in my external backup drive?
APC PowerChute Software is not compatible with Mac.

Comments about APC Power Saving Back-UPS Pro 1500 (120V):
This is the best APC UPS unit yet. The 1500 adds great feedback for the user. You're able to view the current power draw for all equipment plugged in, the amount of battery time, input/output, and more. No more guessing.
This model is better than the one you'll find at the local retail electronic stores. It offers a longer run time and the ability to piggy back on another battery for even more time.
It will easily take care of a desktop and laptop set up with plenty of power left over.
APC does offer a trade in program, but I've found its better (for me) to upgrade to a new unit.

This unit is in a nice small package. I like the digital display that indicates line voltage and when power is lost will show how many minutes remaining before shutdown. The battery is easy to install, but without looking real close at it,I would guess you would have to buy a replacement battery. Some of the Smart UPS's Ive used I have been able to buy off the shelf batteries, but this one is built like a cartridge.

Comments about APC Power Saving Back-UPS Pro 1500 (120V):
I moved into a Brooklyn apartment, an old building. I blew out 4 fuses in 5 days and everytime my computers, back up drives, monitors, etc. just crashed. This hefty battery is the one thing that is saving me from disaster. It will keep running for at least 15 minutes on straight back up battery power and then automatically shut down my equipment--or it gives me time to do it. No more crashing if I turn on a hair dryer while the a.c. is on! Expensive, but worth the peach of mind.

Supports my personal mac computer and all the peripherals, including a G-Safe drive. Since all UPS batteries eventually need to be replaced, I appreciate the fact this unit will alert me in advance. I live in an area with regular power outages and don't want to know I have a bad battery when it's too late.

Comments about APC Power Saving Back-UPS Pro 1500 (120V):
Works great with Apple's built in software (you don't need APC software) that automatically engages when you plug in the USB cord. I'm impressed with the quality and craftsmanship of this unit. Great interface. I'm using it with a 2012 Mac Pro, loaded with PCI cards, filled with HD's and driving a large NEC monitor and only pulling about half the available load. With this condition, I have about half an hour backup. So the 1500 has plenty of power--I'd probably be alright with a slightly smaller APC unit (thus the 4 stars). Oh well--better to have more than you need when you need it.

Comments about APC Power Saving Back-UPS Pro 1500 (120V):
This replaced an APC 900 that was about 8 years old and had required two battery replacements. At this point I decided on a new unit. Good decision. This model more than meets the needs of my laptop and twin LCD monitors. The display is very helpful in showing power usage etc. A good solid item for the price. I would have given it a five-star but you cannot know until at least a year.

Enough power to give me plenty of time to shut down, and can handle peak demand from my computer and monitors while on battery. Love the auto shut off for my accesories when my computer shuts down or sleeps. Appears well made. Fan is quiet when battery is engaged. What I expected from APC. Always love doing business with B&H.
