The softbox is one of the basic tools of lighting--softening, diffusing and directing the light in a controlled way. The Creative Light 4x6' Recessed Front Softbox is 4x6' (120x180 cm). This large softbox has an external and an internal diffuser, both attached with touch fasteners. An optional soft grid can be attached to the front, reducing the angle of light to 50°. The size and shape of the subject dictates the size and shape of the softbox you use for a main light--smaller softboxes for smaller subjects, larger ones for larger subjects. The softbox can also be used as a fill light or an accent light. All-steel support rods are included. Dedicated speedrings for most popular brands of flash head are available separately.

Comments about Creative Light 4x6' Recessed Front Softbox:
I don't know how useful these notes will be given CL's demise; however, they should apply to the Profoto RFi 4x6 assuming that is the reincarnation of the CL. I wanted this for full length family studio portraits using my D1 lights. So far so good. I have not done any evenness measures but the results are what I wanted. I was getting some spill so I added a softgrid and that helped. The biggest issue for me has been supporting the box. I did not have any experience with such a large box. After some experiments with counterweights on the lights, I ended up using a separate stand to support the box from the top front. That seems to work well for me.

I'm a pro photographer in San Diego and I have all the Creative Lighting soft boxes. They create amazing light and are really easy to setup and break down. This brand is being discontinued, but Profoto is coming out with a revamped model.
The bag that stores the boxes are pretty bad. The velcro is on the inside of the opening, this catches the box going in and out.
All in all it's a great product.

Rods pop through the ends of pockets after 2 dozen shoots... had to sew it back together. Not impressed. Speedrings for alienbees/einstein exhibit horrible quality control.
