Misleading headline aside, the chords are best used for either thin long cables or thick short cables. Usually it barely covers my thicker 10 feet Sennheiser hd598 cable even with some chord not bound. The velcro is kinda iffy but it sticks well enough for what it's supposed to do and the price is pretty good for what it does. The instructions are a tad unclear as to which side to start wrapping on but I'm sure people would figure it out eventually.
