Comments about Sony 17-in-1 Desktop Memory Card Reader:
The unit is as described. I bought a similar product at about the same price but the Sony seems sturdier with a slicker design.

Bought this so I wouldn't have to have my camera on the desk while transferring files. It's small and transfers files quickly.

Comments about Sony 17-in-1 Desktop Memory Card Reader:
I use this card reader on my laptop for transferring RAW files. My laptop came only with an SD card reader. Since my camera uses Compact flash cards as well as SD cards I find it useful for both. Transfer certainly is faster as versus my old USB 1.0 card reader. Size is also convenient.

I keep this card reader in my camera bag for travel but wind up using it all the time... on the road, in the office, and at home.

I use this to download primarily images from my 5D, sometimes Canon G10. It's excellent, haven't had any problems with it so far.

Comments about Sony 17-in-1 Desktop Memory Card Reader:
I have an apple computer, and it is nice to not have to plug the two cameras I have with their respective cables. It is simple, and it does what is supposed to do. What else can you ask from this product? Oh! Great price too.
