Comments about Kata Pro-Light Bug-KIT PL:

Used for first time on international travel. With multiple lenses and a body the pack is quite heavy. Waist belt takes weight off the shoulders and puts on hips making it much easier to carry about town for hours. The side bag expansion packs will hold water bottles, and were extremely useful for additional quick access storage (passport, tickets, postcards, etc)

Comments about Kata Pro-Light Bug-KIT PL:

The belt is the best part of this add on kit providing stability and support for your back. The laptop pouch is definitly a nice to have; I just didn't happen to need it. And the extra pouches always welcome...all in all great value for valuable features. It's getting harder to find too so good that B&H had it in stock !

Comments about Kata Pro-Light Bug-KIT PL:

Very good quality, works as advertised. I used with my nice Kata backpack to hold more camera accessories so that I don't need to order another larger backpack. Keep buying camera gear and it's hard to keep up with.

Comments about Kata Pro-Light Bug-KIT PL:

If you use the backpack just to transport your equipment you don't need this kit, the built in waist belt will do.However, if you actually hike and carry a lot of gear, the well-padded adjustable waist belt is an absolute must for proper weight distribution. The fact that it is detachable is great because you don't want that extra bulky belt when it's not needed. The unnecessary small accessory plastic clips to secure the belt to the bag are not well designed and one broke already. However, they are not really needed to secure the belt in place, I don't even know why they're there. The detachable pockets are also a necessity as it is impossible to place a water bottle in the elastic pocket in the bag itself. So if functionally it's a reasonable product why the low rating? 1. You buy a 17" laptop sleeve in this package; who needs that? I don't need it and even if I did, I can buy a laptop sleeve as a stand-alone product elsewhere. 2. The Bug 203 bag comes with an enclosed tripod holder and rain cover. The expectation is that such high-end expensive bag would include the waist belt and the pockets and, if need be, add $20 to the cost of the bag. Alternatively, I would be willing to pay a fair price for the belt and pockets as separate items.I love my Kata Bug bag and I am unhappy that I had to buy this silly package to complement the bag.At [$] this is an outrageously priced item.
