Comments about Vestax Typhoon DJ MIDI Controller with Soundcard:
Pros: This is a great plug-and-play product for beginner and amateur DJ's alike. The software was included and easy to install on my Macbook. I was mixing songs from my itunes library within 15 minutes. Jog wheels are quite sensitive and can stop and rewind on a dime. Songs "SYNC" well and can also be manually adjusted. Sound effects are also pretty cool. Overall, a very user-friendly MP3 mixer for new DJ's, that's easy to set-up. Cons: Some of the MP3s I downloaded from itunes would not play :(. Also, if you're looking for a mixer for doing alot of scratching, this is probably not the best product for you. Finally, although recommended, a power adapter is NOT included with the mixer.

Comments about Vestax Typhoon DJ MIDI Controller with Soundcard:
The B&H website is wrong that the Vestax Typhoon is not compatible with Intel series-i (i3, i5, i7) computers. I have a HP i7 (64 bit) laptop and it works fine with it (the Typhoon's driver installs as a 32 bit program). I think the confusion stems from the fact that you need to go into the Typhoon's ASIO driver control panel, which is installed as a separate program and can be found with your other Start menu programs. There you need to set it to "kernel streaming" and "exlcusive" program control. That will completely clear up the unpleasant sound artifacts that you may hear on some Windows 7 machines. For the money, it's a very nice consumer-level midi controller made by a respected company.

Comments about Vestax Typhoon DJ MIDI Controller with Soundcard:
I DJ a club once a week and have needed a controller for a while. When I got this literally all I had to do was load VDJ and then plug in the controller and it was ready to go. The only draw back is that its not for scratching, but other than that it is awesome.

Comments about Vestax Typhoon DJ MIDI Controller with Soundcard:
The Vestax Typhoon is a solid buy! It is great for those who are starting to learn the basics. With the fader style EQ, and the conveniently placed filter feature, it is fun and useful for beginners. Good sound, good feel and over all good product!

[...] the product itself is not all it's cracked up to be but, it may also be my operating system running through Vista. I could probably also use a little more memory. However, I had to invite a friend of mine who is an IT guy to assist me to get it to work. And even afterwards, there are still some glitches. For instance, when using the scratch jog wheel on the system, it hiccups the track playing even though the volume is all the way down. I just think the system is a little too cheaply made too in my opinion.
