Microboards DVD-R, 4.7GB, 16x LightScribe Discs are high-quality DVD-R discs for both pro and amateur use. This is a write-once, recordable compact disc with 4.7GB of data storage capacity, or 120 minutes of audio recording. Burn on professional quality labels with laser precision and detail - no more marker scrawl or adhesive labels to center, only to have them peel off the disc.
Get silkscreen-quality labels on the DVD. Using the same laser that burns data in the disc drive, burn the data as always, flip the disc over, and reinsert it into the drive and burn a precise and permanent iridescent label. The disc is for use with LightScribe compatible equipment.
A recognized leader in the industry, Microboards Technology has been providing customers with the latest in disc technology since 1989. Comments about Microboards DVD-R, 4.7GB, 16x LightScribe Discs (50 Pack Spindle):
Data side of dvd is fine. The Lightscribe side is very erratic. Sometimes the drive (HP laptop) does not recognize it and all you can do is try another disc. Sometimes it "smears" making the image and text totally unrecognizable (could be sold as a new label design pattern :) Sometimes the image comes out OK but no high contrast even in the "Best" mode. The problem is not in my drive because it did great on a different brand discs, never had an error message. No, I do not recommend this brand to anyone. Pay a few more bucks and get something that works.

Comments about Microboards DVD-R, 4.7GB, 16x LightScribe Discs (50 Pack Spindle):
These disks record data/content just fine but the lightscribe side does not work on HP 565 stand-alone writers. I thought I'd save a few bucks by buying these as they were half as expensive as the Alertecs. Bad Move. Previously, I bought several 100 pack spindles of the Alertecs and never had a single bad disk. NONE of these disks were recognizable by the HP drives. They did seem to work in my Xerox duplicator.
