Cheap & doesn't work on three different Canon batteries. I am surprised that B&H would sell this.

          Comments about Luminair Full-Time Intelli-Charger:

We travel a lot and currently have been lugging a multiple power lead I made up feeding 5 or 6 Li and NiMH battery chargers for cameras, smart-phones, MP3's, head-light's etc. Crazy!
This DOES replace them all for us. Nice feature is ability to transfer charge from, say, a full spare camera battery to your dead cell-phone. Could be real handy in a remote spot in a jam. Haven't had to use Li pack rejuvenator so can't comment. Normally these packs are non-recoverable in my experience ,but....
Necessarily, the terminal positioning and clamping devices that hold the packs in place are clumsy and a little fiddly and would need sensible care to avoid breakage or loss of contact during charge but it's a small price to pay for the obvious advantage. In fact the top clamp device which is 0.K. for point & shoot size batteries, could be re-designed to cope better with a broader range of packs - especially thicker Nikon DSLR and Sony HandyCam packs but I made up an adjustable shock cord thingy (flash version of rubber band) to hold them in place. The 12VDC car feed is also great but not sure the whole clamp thing would stay together in bumpy 4WD.
After looking at similar devices, this one seems to have better electronics - sensing charge end, battery reversal, correct connection, charge level control, etc, but it's very hard getting much in the way of tech. specs on these after market gadgets.

Works well ... some odd features

            By mike

            Comments about Luminair Full-Time Intelli-Charger:

I just rcvd this charger from B&H and gave it a try on 4 different camera batteries, all of which came with their own proprietary charges. (Nikon, Canon, Panasonic(Lumix), and an Olympus. All, [ each a different form/factor and voltage, of course] charged just fine and quickly. the flip up cover is held in place with two rather flimsy plastic prongs and was quite difficult to unlatch when I first opened the package. I don't know how long they will last without breaking. I have not been able to figure out just why they even have the flip-up cover (shown in the photo above) because when you place a battery in the unit the cover cannot be closed. if the intent of the cover is to hold the battery in place while charging you'd have to wrap a rubber band around the entire thing to keep it under tension. I plan to use this on an upcoming one month overseas trip but will probably take my OEM chargers along because I'm not sure I yet have full confidence in the durability of this device. it will make a good backup.

            Comments about Luminair Full-Time Intelli-Charger:

I bought this charger specifically to charge the many lithium ion batteries I use. It works very well with them. However, it works well with the NiCds as well. When I unpacked it and started to try and figure out how to use it I was somewhat puzzled because it is very compact and looks complicated. It really isn't but you do have to take a look at the directions before you can make it work properly. I haven't tried to "rejuvenate" any batteries yet so can't say how that works but when it comes to charging it does a very good job. I like the USB port for charging and the fact that you can use it to charge several items at one time.

This Intelli-Charger is "nifty". In the office we have camera batteries, radio batteries & regular rechargeable batteries. I was intimidated at first but it is easy to use. I recommend it!
