Comments about Switronix Powertap BlackMagic Converter Cable (24"):

I bought this because I was a little nervous about what voltage flux the AVL58 RX could take so I decided to get a regulated 12V power cable and this works well. I have to put it somewhere between 1/2 and 3/4 the way in though as the power doesn't register when it's all the way pushed in, but that's not a big deal to me. I'm just happy I can now use this with my FPV system for my DJI Phantom!

What can I say. This cable is well made, and it powers my camera via p-tap as expected. As an added benefit, it also has an integrated p-tap plug which allows you to power another 12vdc device.

Comments about Switronix Powertap BlackMagic Converter Cable (24"):

It worked fine. I was kind of irritated to have to buy it in the first place...but the hyperdeck shuttle just comes with a wall plug, which is kind of stupid for a piece of camera gear. It should be the wall plug that is an extra that you have to buy, not a p-tap or 4-pin xlr!

I was so un happy to have to buy this b/c the hyperdeck shuttle that failed by the 2nd day of a shoot and I returned it... So now I have a cable I may or may not need in the future...

                But Switronix makes solid gear.

Bought it for powering hyperdeck shuttle from Sony cinealta F900 HDCAM, and it doesn't work, because the voltage on the 12V front camera output is about 11.7V...you can power the Hyperdeck or any other Blackmagic converter directly from the on-board camera light d-tap output. Also the build quality is bad for a $ product. Overpriced!!

I'm using this cable to power my BMD design converter in my 5D2 rig. It's allowing me to bring in all the power from one brick. Yes it's a little spendy... but well worth it.

This product works quite well with our HDMI to SDI converter. It makes shooting with a DSLR completely battery-powered. That increases our flexibility and that means we can do more.

Cable works great, was a little steep for a cable but is completely worth it because of the extra mid-cable power tap.
