One of the most appealing aspects of small mirrorless cameras like the Sony NEX-3 and NEX-5 is the availability of a wide range of interchangeable lenses, including non-Sony lenses. This Novoflex Adapter for Pentax K Lens to Sony NEX Camera makes it possible to mount a Pentax K lens to your NEX-3 or NEX-5 camera with a precision mechanical adapter. Such an adapter does not transfer functions from the camera to the lens, such as auto focus, but automatic exposure metering (stop-down metering/aperture priority) is possible. The lens will focus to infinity using this adapter.

Comments about Novoflex Adapter for Pentax K Lens to Sony NEX Camera:
After looking at several options that would allow use of my various Pentax K lenses along with my Pentax adapters for the 645 and 67 lenses, the Novoflex Pentax K to Sony NEX adapter appeared to provide the best fit and finish. It has not disappointed. Although on the expensive side, the fit and adjustments of the adapter are firm, but smooth, and the machining and workmanship are impeccable. A nicely knurled ring permits the aperture to be opened and closed. A rear lens cap for the Sony E mount is included.

Comments about Novoflex Adapter for Pentax K Lens to Sony NEX Camera:
Looked for months for a similar product and found many cheap alternatives online, the majority of which did not provide any control of aperture. Adapters without aperture control means that any attached lens which were designed for dSLRs will be shot with wide-open aperture only. Furthermore, I found a few reports that these cheaper adapters did not line the lens up completely perpendicular to the sensor.
This adapter is solidly built, connects to my NEX and various pentax lenses firmly and smoothly and the pictures I've taken with the adapter so far are absolutely beautiful. This product works exactly as promised.
Nevertheless, there is one major challenge to using this adapter. Focusing is quite slow as this adapter does not allow for auto-focusing by the NEX camera. I use manual focus assist zoom (the NEX-5 provides for 7x or 14x zoom) and have been using a focus-recompose method. Though slow, this method works fine except in low light and/or smaller apertures as the NEX body uses high ISO to produce a live-view image with high frame rates. Determining sharpness on such a high-ISO live-view image is difficult if not near impossible.
I give this product 4/5 stars mainly because of price, especially compared to cheaper alternatives. I have not actually handled any of the cheaper alternatives so I can not say how good this product is compared to those. However, I suspect that the build quality on this Novoflex adapter to be considerably better.
