For dynamic color and B&W professional printing you must consider the Epson Stylus Pro 7890 Wide Format Inkjet Printer. This magnificent machine is capable of handling virtually any media type; rolls or cut sheets up to 24"/610mm wide. It utilizes a compilation of the most recent printer technologies to deliver superior quality photos, graphics, signage and fine art.
At the heart of the Stylus Pro 7890 is Epson's high performance, one-inch wide eight-channel MicroPiezo TFP print head with 360 nozzles per channel. It works in conjunction with the UltraChrome K3 with Vivid Magenta ink system comprised of eight high-density pigment colors including newly formulated green and orange. These high-performance inks provide the 7890 with the ability to deliver stunning prints that are sure to delight and impress. The combination of an extremely wide color gamut, exceptional shadow detail, superb contrast, depth and smooth tonal gradations can only provide the very highest quality imagery.
A standout innovation in Epson's large format printing arsenal is an automatic black ink switching system. This system is a huge improvement over the manual switching system in earlier models that was inconvenient and difficult to use. You can now seamlessly switch between Photo Black and Matte Black inks; the result is optimum black ink density regardless of media type used, with minimal ink usage. Factoring in an outstanding resolution of 2880 x 1440 dpi, the Stylus Pro 7890 is more than capable of delivering all that you would expect from a printer of this magnitude.

Wonderful machine. Makes fantastic quality prints. So far the only downside is that working with OSX Mountain Lion, Colormunki profiles do not work with the printer. Still working out some kinks.

Comments about Epson Stylus Pro 7890 Wide Format Inkjet Printer:
Although in my opinion the print quality is very similar to the Epson Stylus Pro 7880, the new set of features including better paper handling, more robust cutter, cost reduced photo and matte black ink changeover, faster print speeds to name a few make this printer an outstanding production printer. The overall print quality is outstanding, but as noted not unlike the 7880. it is the new features to increase productivity that makes this printer a worthwhile upgrade.

Comments about Epson Stylus Pro 7890 Wide Format Inkjet Printer:
I purchased this printer as an upgrade to my Epson 7600. The color gamut has improved noticeably and the print speed (faster) is stunning in comparison. The printer operation is very quiet and the printer stand is much more robust than my previous printer's. This represents a major improvement in all aspects of the printing process including loading roll media. The print quality and printer operation are five stars but I give it a four star rating because of its physical size. This printer is enormous in comparison to the 7600. Fortunately it just fit through my office door, without the box (and pallet), which was 30" wide, its smallest dimension.
