Comments about Kingston 8GB DataTraveler Generation 3 (G3) USB 2.0:
We use quite a few of these for students in our training program. To date we have had no failures that were not a result of physical damage. A different brand we used with a retractable cover have been a problem in the past. Also the simple design means it fits in any USB port on desktop or laptop computers where other designs have had interference problems.

Comments about Kingston 8GB DataTraveler Generation 3 (G3) USB 2.0:
I use the 8gb flashdrives to give my clients photos. It is a great alternative to DVDs which are less reliable and can scratch. For the price you can't beat them.
I only wish they were completely blank. I found extra folders from Kingston annoying and not necessary. I always delete them before giving to clients.

Comments about Kingston 8GB DataTraveler Generation 3 (G3) USB 2.0:
MOstly I need this to swap files with friends and family -so usb2 and the size are fine, especially for the price. If I were into some serious sneakernet, I`d want a bigger usb 3 drive.
I really love the cap system -my last one had a slide option that made it a pain to plug in. The plug would slide back before you were connected.
The cap stays on, in pockets or the bottom of my backpack!
I didn`t use the URdrive stuff - I had to reformat this to hfts from fat32.
Zero problems after 2months.
