The Visible Dust SL-788 Arctic Butterfly with Light cleans your sensor without the use of any canned air. The built-in light allows you to see exactly where the brush is cleaning and also prevents you from accidentally smearing the surrounding surfaces. The fibers on the brush are ultra thin and are super charged giving them excellent lifting power.
Because of its safety features all models of Arctic Butterfly can be safely used on ITO (Indium Tin Oxide) coated sensor and DLSR's with built in sensor cleaning systems.
Note! Requires 1 AAA battery (not included)

It's very easy to use.
It's a bit pricey, but I haven't found a more effective product out there.

Background: I've been shooting actively since the late '80s. I bought the Arctic Butterfly to clean the sensor on my Nikon D600, my D600 seems to have the standard D600 dirty sensor problem. When I first reved up the Arctic Butterfly the brush immediatley came out of it's seat. I tried repeatedly to lock it back in place but it would not stay secured in it's holder. I'd hate to have the thing fall out and into the camera body while trying to clean with it.When putting the brush cover cap back over the brush the bristles get caught and splayed out. I can only guess that with use and replacement the bristles would become damaged and not lay in the tight group that they should.Appart from that that, the build quality of the item is not equal to the very high price. This is more like a $25 item than a [$]item.

Comments about Visible Dust SL-788 Arctic Butterfly with Light:
Regardless of price, I decided to buy this brush based on videos I watched.I took the brush out of its case, place battery and turned it on. As soon as it started to spin the brush became lose. I tried to pushed it back in, but it kept falling. The last thing I want is a brush falling into my sensor. It is obvious that the company does not have any quality control, the brush was not turned on once; otherwise, they would have noticed right away the issue.I returned it since I do not trust the quality of these products. I wanted to buy their sensor loupe for [$]. I read too many articles about it feeling cheap. I bought a led loupe at [@]for [$]and it works great to inspect the sensor.

Comments about Visible Dust SL-788 Arctic Butterfly with Light:
The brush smeared my sensor! No instructions came in the box? Only later did I discover on the Visible Dust web site that I was not to touch the brush with my hand as your hand contains oil that will contaminate the brush.
Also when using you are not to touch the sides of of the camera chamber (only allow the brush on the sensor) as this could pick up contaminate as well.
It took 4 Eclipse Sensor swabs to get rid of the smear! And I never wanted to do a wet clean (reason I bought the brush in the first place).
Brand new, I would recommend cleaning the brush, and cap it rests in, prior to using it.

Comments about Visible Dust SL-788 Arctic Butterfly with Light:
I bought this primarily to clean the sensor on a Sony NEX-7. It works great and I now also use it on my Sony NEX VG-20. My only minor complaint is that it seems a bit expensive but it is worth it to keep my even more expensive cameras in good, clean working order!

I use the SL-788 Arctic Butterfly with Light to clean the sensor on my Leica M9. It works beautifully. The light is bright which helps me see the area of the sensor I want to clean. It removes most of the dust and is a good alternative to wet cleaning.

I used it twice and in both cases istead of removing the dust, it created smear splashe on the sensor. But i might i have sued it wrong or might not have cleared it before use. I don't don't
