This Vivitar Vivicam T324N Digital Camera (Black) delivers everything you need for great digital photos. The high-resolution 12MP CMOS sensor offers nice, clear images, even in low-light conditions. You've got a 36-108mm lens with 3x optical zoom (supplemented by 4x digital zoom), as well as a 2.4" LCD screen and built-in flash. Capture video at 640x480 VGA and 320x240 QVGA resolutions, too.
But there's a lot more here--automatic white balance plus daylight, cloudy, incandescent and fluorescent settings, sensitivity up to ISO 400, and scene modes that will give you the optimal settings for common subjects such as Portrait, Scenery, Night Portrait, Night Scenery, Beach, Sport and Party.
It's PictBridge-ready, so you can print directly from the camera, without using a computer. And the whole thing runs on just 3 easily-found AAA batteries. It couldn't be any easier.

I bought this product from "Amazing Steals and Deals" on the Today show. It is junk. Made of plastic, the battery door broke off when I tried to put the batteries in. It was no steal. I have since seen it online for significantly less than what I paid for it. It is not worth the packaging it came in.

We purchased four of this model to run an introductory photography class at our youth center. The cameras are easy for the kids to use and produce quality photos. There was not a steep learning curve - the kids could focus (no pun intended) on learning photography. A little longer battery life would be good but it's not a deal breaker.

Here at Whitetail we run a series of summer camps for kids, during which I teach an intro to Digital Photography session. Our old cameras were junk, so this year I purchased 12 new cameras that we give each group of campers for a day during the camp week. They go out an capture images based on the techniques we discuss in the morning and then in the afternoon we review and edit their images. The kids love it!
These cameras have just the right amount of technical range to give the kids a great intro...all for a price that won't break the bank!

for the price i guess its okay, but id of rather gotten 3 disposable cameras instead, you need 3 triple a batteries to run it, the picture quality is soso on a scale of 1-10 i gave this camera a 4.6 (not impressed) it comes with a hard case and which is very nice. also a memory card and a usb port to put the memory card into which makes things nice and easy for you, its hard to find out how to view the pictures its unlike any digital camera program i have ever had. my advice if this is their very first camera and they are in elementry or middle school its nice but if they are older and like nice electronics spend the extra 50 bucks and get the nice one cause odds are they are going to be just as dissapointed as i was with this digital camera.

I purchased two of these as Christmas presents for my grand children. After receiving them, I opened one and tried it out. I guess for the price it is ok, but I chose to send them back and spent a bit more. I did not like the rubber flap door for the card and the LCD view finder was very low resolution. I spent about $30 more and got a camera with nicad battery, charger, 4gig card, and case.
