International Orders*The Panasonic WV-SC385 Super Dynamic HD Dome Network Camera with a 1.3 MP MOS image sensor offers high-quality imagery with high sensitivity. With the UniPhier LSI chip, the network camera allows simultaneous streaming of real-time imagery in H.264 and JPEG formats at a resolution of 1280 x 960 at 30 fps. It allows you to change the JPEG image compression ratio during an alarm for high-quality images, while H.264/MPEG-4 maximum bit rate/client and total bit rate control enables flexible network traffic management.
The HD Dome Camera offers 18x optical zoom with 12x digital zoom, allowing you to view remote objects without compromising on image quality. In VGA resolution, the camera provides 36x optical zoom with 12x digital zoom for enhanced viewing. For effective viewing in various lighting conditions, the network camera uses Super Dynamic and Adaptive Black Stretch technologies that deliver 128x wide dynamic range. While the Face Super Dynamic provides clear face images, the face-detection function helps in detecting the position of human faces and sends the information via XML or video stream for evaluation. With a minimum illumination of 0.031 lux (color) and 0.004 lux (b&w), the camera offers clear images even in low light conditions. The dome network camera also features Adaptive Digital Noise Reduction (2D-DNR and 3D-DNR) to deliver clear images by removing signals that could result in video noise (grainy images). The dynamic HD network camera includes panning with auto flip function (0-360°), making it suitable for large area surveillance. Besides, the PTZ control feature with 360° map shot allows the camera to capture images at full 360° field-of-view at 45° intervals, divided into 8 thumbnails that easily direct the PTZ camera. VMD (Video Motion Detection), with 4 programmable detection areas, 15 sensitivity levels, and 10 levels of detection size, triggers an alarm when motion is detected in a designated portion of the video display. When motion is detected, you can receive email notifications or upload pre- and post-alarm snapshots via FTP. Zone blanking blanks out an entire area or zone (which is set by a system operator) to eliminate any unnecessary video information from being processed, thus decreasing video traffic over a network. Up to 8 zones can be programmed to output blank video for areas not requiring video surveillance. The auto-tracking feature allows the network dome camera to automatically pan/tilt to follow moving subjects, ensuring that no event is missed. The full duplex bi-directional communication allows you to talk to visitors or potential intruders from operator's base station. When multiple recorders or client PCs access the camera, you can prioritize 1 of the videos for maintaining the frame rate using the prioritize stream control function. The SD/SDHC card slot for on-board storage prevents data loss due to network connection and also makes efficient use of bandwidth by reducing the transmission of unnecessary data.| Camera | |

Comments about Panasonic WV-SC385 Super Dynamic HD Dome Network Camera:
Great quality images but it does have a learning curve attached to it. This is the second one I bought. (Lighning destroyed the first one). A more comprehensive set of instructions would be nice and a more simplified software interface would be a plus. The pop up boxes that detail the various settings and options don't detail anything so it's a bit of trial and error to get stuff to work correctly.

Comments about Panasonic WV-SC385 Super Dynamic HD Dome Network Camera:
This camera is about the best you can buy at this price for a PTZ. I have installed this in a dome outside. The sharpness this camera provides is outstanding. Very fast Pan and Tilt. The 18x zoom is amazing! H.264 provides very clear images with high FPS. The next step up is the AXIS P5522-E which runs about a grand more (even after buying a dome for this camera for outdoor use). This camera also has a higher resolution sensor. I let a friend do a review of the camera. You can read it herehttp://ipcamnetwork.wordpress.com/2012/03/25/panasonic-i-pro-hd-wc-sc385-ptz-camera-review/#more-377

Comments about Panasonic WV-SC385 Super Dynamic HD Dome Network Camera:
This camera has wonderful optics, great options like motion detection and tracking, but the firmware is so awful I am not sure I will use it again. I love the camera, but the company software makes it so bad to use. Maybe they will improve it, but so far they have not. Some of the buttons aren't in the right places and some don't work no matter what you try. Again it is a great camera! BUT, the firmware is horrible. I use Milestone and Viewcommander to record which helps not to use their firmware, but not completely and it is a pain!

Comments about Panasonic WV-SC385 Super Dynamic HD Dome Network Camera:
I would give this a 5 for the camera itself. The zoom is amazing & PTZ is quick and quiet. I downgraded it a notch because the software is quite difficult to configure even though I've setup other panasonic software. The problem is that they use a different line of software for the WV line than the consumer models. Therefore I can't use one piece of their software to monitor all my panasonic cameras.
I also give Panasonic credit for their cust support to resolve software questions. They were easy to reach on the phone.

Comments about Panasonic WV-SC385 Super Dynamic HD Dome Network Camera:
Good quality hardware but the software interface is a bit of a challenge getting the system set up. I'm still trying to figure some settings to email image capture.
This is used to monitor a vacation house. Very good images. Low light quality could be better but not a deal breaker.
