I bought this unit to use in the bedroom to listen to music to fall asleep. I have it hooked up to a Creek OBH-11 headphone amp and use Sennheiser HD 595 headphones. Now I have a problem, the music sounds so good I want to really listen to the detail of the music instead of falling asleep. Oh well, what can you do.

It has all the features I could want and more. I tried to buy this through @ originally, what a waste of time! B and H is so much better, you could talk to an actual person! The Teac player works fine, plays .cda and .mp3 formats, even when mixed on the same disc.

It is exactly what I wanted. Intuitive. Plays only one cd. I use this for music editing for ice skating and other sports. I wanted something without too many bells and whistles...just quality sound. USB connect is a nice perk as well as the volume control for headphones. Not much to break:) perfect!

A great buy for the price. Sounds a bit flat out of the box, but after a few days burn-in, right up there with the competition. I was looking for something with a USB interface yet simple in design. My only con so far would be the drawer opens and closes rather slow and not the sturdiest of build. So I'll give it 4 stars

Comments about Teac CD Player with USB and iPod Digital Interface:

I recently purchased this unit to replace a SONY single-play CD player that finally gave out after over twenty years of regular use. I have hooked this TEAC to my thirty plus year old NAD 7220 Power Envelope receiver and a pair of Cambridge M60 bookshelf speakers, and I couldn't be more pleased. The unit's operation is smooth and noiseless, the sound crisp and full. And I welcome the remote operation that was absent from my old SONY. It was a great discovery to find that B and H carried a quality single play CD unit at a less than professional audiophile level. Most employees at the national strip mall retailers, if they recognized the term CD player at all, only could offer the carousel-player option. I had no interest in considering these, adhering to the philosophy that when purchasing equipment that one plans to use daily, the fewer moving parts the better. Anyway, I am grateful to B and H for stocking this TEAC unit, and as always, the shipment arrived promptly as promised, securely packed and in excellent condition. I recommend this model to my fellow dinosaurs who still value the experience of handling the physical recording formats of their favorite artists, listening while in the comfort of their homes reading the liner notes for the umpteenth time, and who continue to dwell in an analogue musical universe that fails to be supplanted by a pair of ear buds connected to a incomprehensible lozenge one deposits in a shirt pocket.

Comments about Teac CD Player with USB and iPod Digital Interface:

I bought this product to replace a broken 5 carousel CD player. I wanted a single disc player and opted for a dedicated CD player versus a DVD player for better CD audio quality. The USB port which supports my Ipod and will play audio files from any USB device was an added bonus. I have played my Ipod using a mini plug to RCA connector cable thru my stereo receiver and the USB port connection sounds better.

Comments about Teac CD Player with USB and iPod Digital Interface:

I have always been a fan of TEAC, and this player renews that faith. The product is just what I wanted or a special application without breaking the bank. I gave 4stars only because the first one was a DOA, but B&H made the exchange fast and easy.
