A built-in phono socket makes for easy connection to Canon cameras (see compatibility below). You can safely trigger your DSLR, and view and save the results (up to 99 images) from your control post up to 196' away from your camera.

This remote control operates on 8x easily-found AA batteries, and the built-in mini USB socket offers additional power options such as direct power from a laptop computer, an external Li-ion battery pack, AC/DC Adapter or Solar 5 V source.

If your DSLR lens is set in a close-up zoom, the built-in CMOS display in the Inspire receiver is a seperate, convenient wide-angle LiveView for surveying the overall scene, as it allows you to monitor the scene prior to switching to zoomed-in DSLR LiveView to take the shot.
Built-in phono socket allows easy connection with the camera AV output (use the AV cable supplied with camera).
The Inspire allows you to save the images taken. Then playback the pictures in the Inspire transmitter without having to go back to the camera.

Comments about hahnel Inspire Wireless Remote Control W/LiveView Display for Canon:

I used this with a Canon T1I. The receiver is shoe-mounted and requires 2 cables to from the receiver to the body (remote shutter and RCA video). These require about a 6" cable, but most cables are much longer. It's awkward. And the transmitter is rather large and bulky too. They each require 4 AA batteries. It also has 2 views: the camera's view and a built-in camera on the receiver. The receiver camera is fairly useless and I don't see the point. And build quality just seems chintzy. If all you really need is a remote shutter, then just get that. The video feed feature just isn't as great as it sounds.

Comments about hahnel Inspire Wireless Remote Control W/LiveView Display for Canon:

I have been a photographer for a while and have recently been doing real estate. This product is great for getting aerial shots. I mount my camera to a 16' pole and having this makes life so much easier. No taking down the pole and getting it back up before the timer goes off. Now, I can just leave it up, move around, see my shot and take it. Love it!
I've also been using it for bird photography. I set my camera up on a tripod next to the bird feeder, walk in my house and wait for the birds to enter my camera FOV and get the shot.

Comments about hahnel Inspire Wireless Remote Control W/LiveView Display for Canon:

I'm amateur photographer and i'd liked to see how can improve my Canon. It's a nice invent and I've enjoyed it enough. It has a great range (60 meters LOS) but the quality of the image in the live view display could be better. The control of the camera is poor but its use is helpful and sometimes very funny.

Comments about hahnel Inspire Wireless Remote Control W/LiveView Display for Canon:

As a professional, this wireless remote is a god-send for repetitive "portrait" work and other work where set changes are not involved. It allows me the freedom of movement and same-time shot preparation that behind behind the camera sometimes hinders. Having a remote capture system like this makes for otherwise hard to capture live nature photography with a minimal impact on the areas being photographed. Being incredibly lightweight, it frees the user from the awkwardness of using a heavier laptop required by much higher priced systems.

I did find this system does have one drawback as it will receive interference from other close-by electronics like a cel-phone under certain conditions. However this minor shortcoming is greatly outweighed by its remote performance and the creative opportunities it offers. The interference, if encountered, has no impact on the photograph whatsoever.

All in all, I find this system the best value and its ease of use will give any photographer a huge bang for their buck.

Comments about hahnel Inspire Wireless Remote Control W/LiveView Display for Canon:

Now I can " see " remotely and view the image before taking the shot . The streaming liveview is great but I like the builtin wide angle view from the module even better. Easy to scroll between them - I found out that the camera module works really well with lithium AA's .

Comments about hahnel Inspire Wireless Remote Control W/LiveView Display for Canon:

I have been waiting for a product like this for years. It does not dissapoint. This is an ideal solution for any remote viewing photography. The downsides of this product are its battery life and lack of a mounting point on the viewer. At some point the viewer should just be an iPhone app (please please please :). The screen resolution does not have the resolution for critical focusing like a Marshall screen but it also does not need external batteries and is pocketable in size.
