This is my second frame from Pandigital. We have a 10" one. I like it because the picture quality is great from all angles and I need very few features. Basically I set it to read from a memory card and do a slideshow in 1 hour intervals. This way I can manage all the photos on my computer. All my wife has to do is pop the card out, give it to me, I give it back to her and she pops it back in. Everything works and she gets updated pictures in her office.
Now, if you plan on using the internal memory the user interface is a pain to manage. To be fair I've never seen a good UI on a monitor but if you're constantly managing photos, alarms, and music on here I think it is difficult. The remote helps somewhat because at least you can see what keys you're pushing while looking at the screen but it is also not very responsive. If you hit the buttons too quickly, too softly, or not aimed right, it won't respond.
Again, for me I can get over the bad UI because I deal with it once, then I'm done. The price and quality of the picture is what I'm looking for and this hits the mark.

We bought this frame as a gift for a bride-to-be. We uploaded many pics related to her destination wedding, and surprised he with it at her Shower. She was wowed. Easy enough uploading, and clear pics if you use appropriate resolution. Ease of use was important as she is not techy. She will be able to add many pics from her wedding to this collection. Good gift, but I think it could be priced a bit lower as the display size is slightly small.

I like the fact that the frame has storage or you can use removable storage. They are very easy to set up and I have a number of pandigitial products and have never had any problems.

Comments about Pandigital 8" LED Digital Photo Frame:
I bought this photo frame for a person with a tiny home, so that he does not need to print images. And the frame can be mounted on the wall, saving even more space. I didn't test the frame much before wrapping it as a X-mas present and I can not say if it does a good job as described. The only things I noticed were: 1) a small mark in the glass that could not be removed; 2) some difficulties in setting the frame (date, hour, etc.) without using the remote (I tried to use the buttons on the back but without much success. This could be a problem in the case that the remote is lost)

Bought a Pandigital 12" frame and 3 months later the elec supply went dead. They said they were going to replace it free of charge. 4 months,1 week and 1 day later..they informed me they don't have these ( after they said it was on back order) and told me that I would have to order a universal unit. I strongly recomend you buy some other brand

This frame is a great tool for displaying all of my new grandson's pictures. The ability to add music along with my videos make this a powerful display. Easy to use and easy to download pictures. I like the idea of the remote control, this way I can turn it on and get to my favorite baby shot from anywhere in the room.

PROS:
The frame comes with enough stored memory that I downloaded all of my photos without needing to buy an extra memory card.
I bought this as a gift, and the person I gave it to was very impressed with the resolution on this frame.
The screen is behind real glass, so it looks more like a photo frame and less like a computer monitor.
The 8" size was great as a desk frame and perfect for viewing our photos, even though I considered the 10"
The aspect ratio is 4:3, which means there was no distortion of my photos since most pictures are taken in 4:3 and not 16:9, which is the widescreen version that some companies are selling.
Even though my friend who is a computer whiz suggested I buy a picture frame from a brand he knew, like ViewSonic, which manufactures computer monitors, PanDigital specializes in manufacturing e-readers (e-book like devices) and photoframes, so they know what they're doing.
The price is great compared to similar devices. I shopped around and looked at about 5 different brands before I purchased this.
CONS:
The only reason I hesitate to give this product five stars is because the software that comes with the photo frame is a bit cumbersome, but manageable. I cannot play any audio to go with the slideshow other than MP3's, so you would need to convert the songs you own. Most of mine are MP4's so it only plays those files.
The frame was easy enough to understand with some toggling.
Some reviews I read complained about a lack of responsiveness in the remote control. I figured out that they were not pointing the remote directly at the receiver (a small circle in the lower edge of the photo frame). If you do this, you will have no problem getting the frame to respond.
Happy buying!
