When you're shooting with a telephoto or in low light and moving too fast to set up a tripod (or you just want to travel light), the Benro C38F Classic Carbon Fiber Monopod may be your new best friend.
This carbon fiber support reaches a height of 4.97' (1.5 m), closes down to 19.9" (50 cm), and supports 39.6 lbs (18 kg). It only weighs 1.1 lbs (0.5 kg), so you'll barely know you're carrying it. Opening and closing the 4 sections is quick and easy with the flip lever lock design, and high elasticity rubber feet prevent slipping (meaning less fatigue for you in the long run).
An attached wrist strap and a closed foam grip give you a secure hold on the monopod (and your camera!), and the grip insulates your hands from the carbon fiber on cold days. The head plate has a reversible 1/4"-20 & 3/8"-16 screw.

Used it for shooting at the tulip festival, really enjoyed using the monopod. It is light and surprisingly steady for a monopod. The flat base at the bottom keeps it steady and lets you easily adjust shooting angles. Height adjustments are easy.

Comments about Benro C38F Classic Carbon Fiber Monopod:
I use it primarily for macro photos, zooms, and low light, whenever I need more stability than I can get hand-holding
I love that it is so light and easy to carry but at the same time so sturdy. It is not flimsy at all. It easily supports my sony alpha 1 with a 300mm zoom, the longest I currently have.
I do wish it contracted to a slightly shorter length for closer access for the macro shots without having to tilt it.
I actually bought it for a trip to France, but that has not occurred yet so the jury is still out to see how it travels.

Comments about Benro C38F Classic Carbon Fiber Monopod:
Great for shooting video at sporting events with a small camcorder. Works great with a camera too! I like this particular monopod for two very specific reasons. First, its very light (helps at the end of the day) and secondly, this monopod is very short when folded up. What this does is allow its use while sitting down. Very important in stadium seating when you are going to have to sit there for an extended period of time.

Liked it a lot. Well constructed, light weight but very sturdy. I used it with my Nikon D300 with an assortment of lenses recently on a long trip and can't be happier with the purchase.

I purchased the monopod for shooting at outdoor events where the light is failing. The C38F works perfectly, allowing me to stablize my camera without having to use a bulky tripod. It is easy to carry and to set up. It is well made and will last forever! Wish I had purchased it years ago!
