The Benro Classic A0580F 4-Section Aluminum Tripod is a lightweight, sturdy support for a point & shoot or DSLR camera, with a maximum load capacity of 8.8 lb. With the center column and the four leg sections fully extended, the tripod reaches a maximum height of 56.3".

The A0580F includes several professional features that ensure its stability, such as user-adjustable flip locks on the legs. Locking screws in the top plate provide an extra level of security and stability when attaching a head (not included). A hook at the bottom of the center column allows you to hang a counterweight from the tripod's center of gravity for increased stability, especially in windy conditions or with uneven loads.

Adjustable Leg Angles
The legs can be independently locked into place at three different angles to enable shooting on irregular surface areas or at ground level
Anti-Rotation Legs with Quick Locks
Tripod height can be set easily by flipping the quick-lock leg levers. Combined with anti-rotation legs, this enables fast setup without fumbling
Rubber and Stainless Steel Spiked Feet
The tripod comes with both rubber feet and stainless steel spiked feet that screw in and out of the leg
Foam Grip on One Leg
A thick layer of closed-cell nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) provides a comfortable yet firm grip when carrying your Benro tripod, and it mitigates the effects of extreme heat and cold
Wingnut-Style Column Lock
A wingnut-style center column-locking knob allows for secure height adjustments on the fly, with intuitive execution
Reversible Center Column
The center column, which is grooved to prevent rotation, is removable and reversible so that you can mount a camera as close to the ground as possible
Spirit Level & Compass
Built into the chassis are a spirit level that helps keep your camera squared off and level with your subject, and a built-in compass that indicates directional orientation
Carry Case & Shoulder Strap
Benro carrying cases and straps are made of high-quality, durable materials to provide maximum protection for your tripod and head (not included). The included shoulder strap doubles as a tripod-carrying strap – just slip the strap's lasso around the legs and, at the other end of the strap, attach the clip to the loop on the tripod's magnesium chassis

I was looking for a lightweight, versatile tripod that would be good enough for travel, as well as the trail and really found it here in the A0580F. It's one of the few that had a wt. below 3lbs, and still held decent wt. gear, including my beefy Sigma 70-200 EX.
I also like that like that the center column inverts.
I paired this with the Benro BH1 ballhead for extra stability.

This is a nice sturdy lightish tripod for the money. The problem is the center column is free to rotate about 15 degrees no matter how tight you get it. I wanted to use it for video so this is a huge drawback since when I stop panning left and go right the motion starts in the tripod not the head. Otherwise it is a decent tripod.I use it with a Sony A33 SLT (DSLR) which is relatively small and compact for a DSLR with interchangeable lens.

Comments about Benro Classic A0580F 4-Section Aluminum Tripod:

I'm very happy with the tripod. Small and light, but sturdy. Comes with a nice bag/carrying case. Not very tall but so far has worked for me. And the price is great for what you get.

Light and compact tripod. Worked very well, even using a Joby head, not a Benro one. I could easily interchange between my Gorilla tripod and this one.

This is definitely an adequate enough tripod. I primarily purchased it to be able to fit in a carryon bag, which is does when my ball-head is removed from it. Works well enough for me and is light.

Comments about Benro Classic A0580F 4-Section Aluminum Tripod:

I already own 3 tripods but needed something to pack in a carry-on for my latest rip to the Rocky Mountains. I decided to go with this tripod for its great price/quality ratio. It is sturdy and had no issue mounting my D300s with battery pack and the 12-24 lens. I mounted my Manfrotto ball-head on it and it worked perfectly. On my way back, not sure yet how it happened, but the 1/4" screw to connect the head to the center column, fell within the shaft and I couldn't take it out. After contacting Benro costumer service and explained the issue, they just shipped the entire new center column with no charges...just awesome.

Nice for the price. I was looking for an inexpencive tripod for all around use and this one fits the bill. Definitely not for the big lenses. Good finish and well built. I topped it off with a Manfrotto ball head for the perfect combo.

I needed a second tripod for travel that would: have minium size less than 20", weight less than 3 pounds, come with spiked feet, a case and not cost too much. After elminating the Gittios and Silk models I was left with this one. The build quality of the tripod is excellent. All of the extras I wanted were included. It's lightweight, compact design is perfect for my needs.

This is the second tripod that I have so far. This one is good for carrying around.

This tripod is a very good product for the money. It is well made with a number of features usually only found in higher priced tripods. Put a good ballhead on it and you will be ready to take great pictures.

I will still use my full size tripod when I need to but I can see this one becoming my new favorite when traveling, biking or camping.

Comments about Benro Classic A0580F 4-Section Aluminum Tripod:

I use this tripod whenever I have to travel and can't carry my regular one with me. Quite honestly this little device is practically as useful as any other full size tripod I own. The built is solid and although the legs get quite thin it remains relatively stiff. Additionally the top post can be reversed and the base is equipped with a small level and a compass.
