A hook at the bottom of the center column allows you to hang a counterweight from the tripod's center of gravity for increased stability, especially in windy conditions or with uneven loads.

Adjustable Leg Angles
For an extra measure of flexibility, Benro tripod legs can be independently locked into place at three different angles to enable shooting in cramped quarters, on irregular surface areas, or at ground level.
Quick Lock Legs with Anti-Rotation Leg System
Tripod height can easily be set by a flip of the quick lock leg levers, which combined with anti-rotation legs enable fast and fumble-free set-up
Stainless Steel Spiked or Rubber Feet
The tripod comes with both rubber feet and stainless steel spiked feet that screw in and out of the leg
Closed-Cell Foam Grip
A thick layer of closed-cell nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) provides a comfortable yet firm grip when carrying your Benro tripod.
Wingnut-Style Column Lock
A wing nut-style center column-locking knob allows for secure, intuitive-action height adjustments on the fly.
Reversible Center Column
The center column, which features a ridge-and-groove design to eliminate unwanted column rotation, can be quickly inverted for exacting, lower angle camera positioning.
Spirit Level & Compass
In or out of the studio, a built-in spirit level helps keep your camera squared-off and level to your subject, and a built-in compass provides orientation coordinates.
Head Mounting Setscrews
Setscrews provide an extra level of security when attaching the head to the tripod's top-plate.
Center-Column Hook
A hook, located on the bottom of the center-column, allows you to hang additional weight from the tripod's center of gravity for increased stability.
Carry Case & Shoulder Strap
Benro straps and carrying cases are made of quality, high-durability materials to provide maximum protection for your tripod and head.

Comments about Benro Classic A1580F 4-Section Aluminum Tripod:

Coming from a $30 tripod, the Benro Classic A1580F is amazing. After doing thorough research and comparing the Benro with Manfrotto, Oben etc I finally decided to buy one with a ball head combo because of the feature/price ratio and I am very satisfied. Also the build quality is very good and every nuts and bolts are adjustable to your desire. Overall a very good tripod and a bargain for the price. (The tripod is a little taller than what the site mentioned 2-3 inch more w/o ballhead)

Comments about Benro Classic A1580F 4-Section Aluminum Tripod:

My hands were tired of the twist-lock tripods and I upgraded to this beast. It seems like the perfect size and is SOLID, even when extended.Has threads to very securely tighten a ballhead (or any head with round base) so there's no added twisting/rotating that isn't desired. It's a feature that lacks in many others, even at higher prices.Have owned and used several Benro tripods in the past and this one does not disapoint. Actually think it might be better than the Man-Brand ones...Strap for the bag doubles as a tripod strap, so you can carry without the bag, if desired. Bag itself is great - padded and has inner pocket for holding tools and spiked feet.

Comments about Benro Classic A1580F 4-Section Aluminum Tripod:

This is a good sturdy tripod that is really easy to set up and fold down.

I am still new to photography and this is the 2nd tripod that I purchased within a short period of life. I had selected my very first tripod based on size and how easy it would be to carry however, I quickly realised that this was not the only criteria that I should have focused on. That tripod was extremely frustrating to use as it took far too much effort and time to set it up and take it down. However, I had a completely different experience with this Benro tripod from the very first time that I used it. I was really pleased with how easy it was to use and as a result I would recommend this tripod to anyone. The only negative comments that I have about this tripod is that it is a bit long and bulky for carrying and it did not come with a carrying bag or strap like the first tripod that I had purchased.

Comments about Benro Classic A1580F 4-Section Aluminum Tripod:

I've used many tripods from carbon fiber Gitzo's, to Bogen/Manfrotto's. I'm a travel photographer and I'm highly published, National Geographic Traveler, Conde Nast Traveller UK, Travel + Leisure etc.

I was looking for a small travel tripod about 17-19" in length to fit in a backpack. Below 17" they get a bit flimsy. I looked at so many tripods at B+H over several days, I was dizzy. I was mostly looking at the carbon fibers including the Benro's.

Once I saw this one though I knew instantly it was the one. Absolutely brilliant finish, almost a very deep blue black anodize - hgold it in the light and you'll see. Just the most stunning finish no matter what price.

The design, fit and finish overall are simply superb. I've a background in Aerospace design, I know what I'm talking about.

I can't stop being completely amazed at this cool little tripod. Truly a work of art, but solid as a rock.

Now function: It's extremely sturdy for a small tripod. I was shocked at how stiff it is with the legs all the way up. With the post up all the way you do have to hold it steady, but you do that on most tripods anyway.

I wanted flip locks too. After owning gitzo's for travel my hands were worn out. Too much twisting work. The legs just glide down effortlessly too as the saleman was explaining to me. Two big thumbs up.

I also wanted aluminum because it's inexpensive and very light in this size. I know carbon fiber is the rage and trendy, but when your gear gets ripped off in a foreign land and you lose 650 bucks over just a tripod you learn - never again.

I'm not big on tripods whatsoever, I really barely use them at all, I mean barely especially with the new digital cameras with hi iso sensors (2500 or less for me), but I bought these for those rare occasions I need one and I bought two others exactly like this to mount a slide rail to use gorilla style on location. Genius.

Regardless of usage, this tripod and the whole Benro line of tripods are extremely high quality for price.

They are like highly engineered aeronautical pieces of equipment.

I am a videographer and I have been trying to find a good travel tripod for my camera. I plan on traveling to different countries to make documentaries about ministries and non-profits. None of the video tripods I found would fit into a carry-on bag, so I had to go with a photographic tripod. This thing works perfectly for my Sony NEX-VG20 with either a Manfrotto 701HDV or Velbon head. The only issue I have found is the legs are very light and can move while panning. So, you simply need to add some weights and you're good to go.

I admit to not using this tripod yet. I needed a tripod for night photography when traveling to NYC on family matters and didn't want to pack my large equipment. This item is small enough to pack in any bag, reasonably light and appears very stable. There are lighter and stronger but at a much higher price.

My Gitzo carbon fiber tripod doesn't fit my carry on luggage, so I broke down and bought this 4-section Benro for airline travel. With my relatively light Acratech ballhead this ends up being a surprisingly sturdy tripod. It holds a full size DSLR and zoom lens with ease. And although I believe that the fewer leg sections the better, the 3-tiers of leg locks snap into place quickly and brings the camera up high enough (I'm 6'1") that I only have to raise the center column moderately to be able to shoot comfortably.

Comments about Benro Classic A1580F 4-Section Aluminum Tripod:

I needed to replace my tripod that was handed down with my film cameras for a while now, and this was my choice. I use my tripod daily, both indoors and outside. It has proven rugged after a fall from a cliff (without camera attatched), and sturdy. The spikes are also a nice feature, though retractable ones would have been better. It is a bit of a hassle to remove the rubbers and screw them in out in the field (or water, as the case was). Other than that, this little tripod is excellent and outperforms what I was expecting.

Comments about Benro Classic A1580F 4-Section Aluminum Tripod:

I needed a compact and lighter-weight tripod for my landscape and night photography. Although this style is not as strong as my old tripod, I needed to lighten up my total payload when traveling. This tripod will be adequate especially since I can hang my camera bag under the tripod for more stability. Also, I wanted a tripod with flip locks on the legs.
