The A2580F includes several professional features that ensure its stability, such as user-adjustable flip locks on the legs. Locking screws in the top plate provide an extra level of security and stability when attaching a head (not included). A hook at the bottom of the center column allows you to hang a counterweight from the tripod's center of gravity for increased stability, especially in windy conditions or with uneven loads.

Adjustable Leg Angles
The legs can be independently locked into place at three different angles to enable shooting on irregular surface areas or at ground level
Anti-Rotation Legs with Quick Locks
Tripod height can be set easily by flipping the quick-lock leg levers. Combined with anti-rotation legs, this enables fast setup without fumbling
Rubber and Stainless Steel Spiked Feet
The tripod comes with both rubber feet and stainless steel spiked feet that screw in and out of the leg
Foam Grip on One Leg
A thick layer of closed-cell nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) provides a comfortable yet firm grip when carrying your Benro tripod, and it mitigates the effects of extreme heat and cold
Wingnut-Style Column Lock
A wingnut-style center column-locking knob allows for secure height adjustments on the fly, with intuitive execution
Reversible Center Column
The center column, which is grooved to prevent rotation, is removable and reversible so that you can mount a camera as close to the ground as possible
Spirit Level & Compass
Built into the chassis are a spirit level that helps keep your camera squared off and level with your subject, and a built-in compass that indicates directional orientation
Carry Case & Shoulder Strap
Benro carrying cases and straps are made of high-quality, durable materials to provide maximum protection for your tripod and head (not included). The included shoulder strap doubles as a tripod-carrying strap – just slip the strap's lasso around the legs and, at the other end of the strap, attach the clip to the loop on the tripod's magnesium chassis

Comments about Benro Classic A2580F 4-Section Aluminum Tripod:

This tripod supports my Canon 7D with a 24-105L zoom lens with no effort at all. The legs operate smoothly and utilize flip locks that also operate easily; very much like my Manfrotto. I use the tripod outside and can adjust each leg as needed to accommodate the terrain. At present I use the rubber feet for everything and have not needed the spiked feet, which incidentally are included if needed. Although, this is an aluminum tripod, the 4.1 pound weight combined with the 0.9 pound Sirui K-20X ballhead (reviewed elsewhere) appears to be a non-issue when carrying it. And finally stability appears to be great. I have no regrets with this purchase.

Comments about Benro Classic A2580F 4-Section Aluminum Tripod:

I really like these sticks! I had purchased and returned three full tripods prior to making the choice to try a more expensive set. My original purchase was for a complete tripod and ball head in the $ price range for both parts. I returned it due to some damage/manufacturing defects on the legs, ball head, and carry bag that came as part of the package. The tripod was a bit flimsy for my taste, so when I re-ordered, I order a set in the $ price range. I received the second set with similar leg and ball head scratches, and the ball head did not fit flush on the sticks when reversed for low shots. This was due to a manufacturing defect in that the screw that the head mounted onto was not straight. I returned the second one for a third. Exact same make and model as the second one I ordered, and the third one had the same mis-mounted screw issue and similar scratches on the head and legs.I went back to the drawing board and began researching tripods that seemed a bit more stable and where the head appeared to be smoother during operation. I finally decided on these legs and a panhead by the same manufacturer, the Benro HD1 3-Way Panhead. Together the complete cost for this set was $ including shipping. $ more than I had original wanted to spend for the complete tripod, but well worth the difference in price for the stability of the legs and the smoothness of the operation of the legs. These were quite obviously much better made than the original $ price point legs and ball head. The importance of this lesson learned, is as most often the case, "you get what you pay for."I am an amateur photographer and use my tripod pretty much as most photographers would. I use it in low light conditions both inside and outside, when hand held shots might be out of focus. Inside I have used it to take some shots of myself working in my office that were needed for a promotional powerpoint presentation. I work by myself on the road in three different offices where it is not much of an option to ask anyone else to take my picture. I have also used it to take some inside photos of some house decorations just because I wanted to post them on Facebook so family members could see what new decorations my wife and I purchased while on vacation this year. I have taken some pictures of a creek and some other things in the woods behind my home. Low light for sure. The pictures came out better using the tripod than the photos that I had taken hand held right after I received my new camera. (Canon 70D and EF-S 18-135mm IS STM lens) I mention them by brand only so readers will have a better understanding of the weight that I have mounted on this tripod setup. Camera = 1.66 lb / 755 g with battery and memory card. Lens =1.06 lb (480 g) Not too heavy at all right now, but some heavier lenses are in my future plans. The pictures I took in the woods were on normal semi level woods terrain and on some inclines. The sticks handled the inclines very nicely. One shot had one leg on the ground and the other two legs on rocks that lined a creek bed. Very easy to set up and level with the "ball level" that is mounted on these sticks. The smooth operation of the legs as they were extended and while leveling was very nice. There was also a slight breeze so this could have been a precarious shot if the legs were not stable. No camera shake at all even in the rising and falling strength of the breeze. In conclusion, I have had the product for 2 months now and used it about 10 times. Every time I use it is enjoyable because of the quality and ease of use. I have no complaints at all about this product as of this writing. I am not the easiest of customers to please as I am very quality conscious and believe that my hard earned money, when spent, should yield an equal value return for my investment!

Comments about Benro Classic A2580F 4-Section Aluminum Tripod:

I normally use a carbon fiber tripod that is four times the price of this one. Truthfully though, it is too light at times. I am impressed that with a basic Manfrotto 701HDV head on this it's smoother as the tripod legs weight keeps it planted better. The maximum height is well above me, which is great. The leg locks aren't quite as smooth as a more expensive one but are fine. The bottom hook is well thought out. All together I'm quite amazed at the quality of this tripod for $[*]. Add an Arcatech leveling base and fluid head and you have an ideal video head. For photography it's fine but I'd rather use a lighter tripod with a ballhead for that.

I haven't used it yet, but it's very substantial and tall enough that I don't have to raise the center pole at all. I may have been able to get by with the shorter one since I am now 5'5" instead of my previous 5'6-1/2".

Just got it and am already very impressed. It stores quite compactly and expands to 65", not counting my ball head. Sections move in and out smoothly. Very solid feel, provides great stability for my DSLR (Sony Alpha 77) with any of my lenses. Center column has a ridge to prevent rotation. Instead of having spikes that screw out and in through rubber tips, the spikes and rubber tips are separate. Not as convenient, but I have had previous tripods where it was difficult to keep the spike extensions the same, not so with this tripod. It is light weight. The case is nice to have and you can attach the case strap directly to the tripod if you like.

I was looking for a compact but sturdy tripod for traveling. The Benro is that and more. Extremely well built, fast handling and accommodates a host of tripod heads. And, very reasonably priced.

Comments about Benro Classic A2580F 4-Section Aluminum Tripod:

Extremely solid. It is rather heavy which, for me is good because that means its sturdy. Perfect for long exposures.
