The Benro Classic C2580F 4-Section Carbon Fiber Tripod is a lightweight, sturdy support for a DSLR with a zoom lens or a medium-format camera, with a maximum load capacity of 26.4 lb. With the center column and the four leg sections fully extended, the tripod reaches a maximum height of 61".

The C2580F weighs only 3.1 lb yet includes several professional features that ensure its stability, such as user-adjustable flip locks on the 8-layer carbon fiber legs. Locking screws in the top plate provide an extra level of security and stability when attaching a head (not included). A hook at the bottom of the center-column allows you to hang a counterweight from the tripod's center of gravity for increased stability, especially in windy conditions or with uneven loads.

Adjustable Leg Angles
The legs can be independently locked into place at three different angles to enable shooting on irregular surface areas or at ground level
Anti-Rotation Legs with Quick Locks
Tripod height can be set easily by flipping the quick-lock leg levers. Combined with anti-rotation legs, this enables fast setup without fumbling
Rubber and Stainless Steel Spiked Feet
The tripod comes with both rubber feet and stainless steel spiked feet that screw in and out of the leg
Foam Grip on One Leg
A thick layer of closed-cell nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) provides a comfortable yet firm grip when carrying your Benro tripod, and it mitigates the effects of extreme heat and cold
Wingnut-Style Column Lock
A wingnut-style center column-locking knob allows for secure height adjustments on the fly, with intuitive execution
Reversible Center Column
The center column, which is grooved to prevent rotation, is removable and reversible so that you can mount a camera as close to the ground as possible
Spirit Level & Compass
Built into the chassis are a spirit level that helps keep your camera squared off and level with your subject, and a built-in compass that indicates directional orientation
Carry Case & Shoulder Strap
Benro carrying cases and straps are made of high-quality, durable materials to provide maximum protection for your tripod and head (not included). The included shoulder strap doubles as a tripod-carrying strap – just slip the strap's lasso around the legs and, at the other end of the strap, attach the clip to the loop on the tripod's magnesium chassis

Comments about Benro Classic C2580F 4-Section Carbon Fiber Tripod:

Perfect tripod for my gear. I prefer the flip locks to the twist. The tripod is very easy to set up. It's light weight and fits in my suitcase with my Vanguard ball head attached. Very stable tripod for my Nikon D610 and AF-S Nikon 80-400 G lens.

Comments about Benro Classic C2580F 4-Section Carbon Fiber Tripod:

On appearance this tripod seems great and if you work in a studio or only occasionally outdoors this tripod fits the bill and does a great job, but under tough use it fails completely and the poor construction is evident.

First the tubes which make up the legs are only attached with light plastic two part wedges which maintain pressure inside the nested leg keeping the legs from coming apart. This plastic wedge is cheaply constructed and eventually the legs begin pulling apart. I was working in a difficult situation when suddenly I had the tripod in one hand and a leg in the other and had to scramble to find the two plastic wedges to resemble. This has since happened multiple times and finally I glued the plastic to the carbon legs to prevent it happening again. Just poor design and cheap construction. The carbon parts are great but they are connected together using cheap hardware, not stainless steel - the result is all the hardware rusts which makes using the levers difficult.

Not a true professional level product but a cheap compromise.

Comments about Benro Classic C2580F 4-Section Carbon Fiber Tripod:

I was referred to the Benro line of Tripods from a fellow pro shooter friend of mine who had gotten a Benro tripod for back packing.

I was admittedly skeptical as to how much I'd like this one, I didn't think it would compare with my Gitzo Studex model.

I was quite surprised at how good this Benro is, it's light, much lighter then the aluminum Gitzo, and yet can handle a 24lb load with no problem, it's completely versatile, being able to switch up the center column for over head without having to do much at all. I love the carbon fiber, it's a terrific tripod, well worth it, a terrific value!

Comments about Benro Classic C2580F 4-Section Carbon Fiber Tripod:

This is a very sturdy lightweight tripod that fit my needs perfectly. I needed something that would fit in my carry on, something that would go at least 60 inches high, be very lightweight and would hold easily hold the weight of a 35mm pro SLR with a large lens. It does all these things well. In addition, it uses flick locks which I have always been a fan of. This is a very sturdy and well built carbon fiber tripod that does a lot of things well for a price under $ without the head. The four section legs allow it to have a smaller size when its all packed up. Other little details like the built in bubble level, compass and center post camera bag hook are just icing on the cake. It comes with standard rubber feet that I found work well in almost every situation. Included in the protective padded nylon case is a set of metal tools for making adjustments or changing the rubber feet to the set of 3 metal spikes for outdoor use…which I will probably never use for my type of work.

Comments about Benro Classic C2580F 4-Section Carbon Fiber Tripod:

Really like this tripod. Just took it on a backwoods video trip. Combined with the Manfrotto 701 fluid head this setup makes a great, stable, and lightweight solution for video guys like me who are looking for a lighter - yet still solid - setup for backpacking trips.
Beyond that... I can fit this tripod into my carry on baggage when flying.

I like this setup a lot!

                  PROS:

                  1. Lever locks on the legs (instead of twistlocks like you find on most other tripod setups of this size) I personally think the lever locks are faster to work than the twist lock systems.

                  2. Carbon Fiber - Strong and lightweight.

                  3. Ability to hang backpack from center column for added support and stability.

                  4. decent height when extended.. and great compact size when folded up.

                  CONS:
                  1. it comes with spikes that you can screw into the feet... but I guess I wish it had spikes built in somehow.

                  2. Could use a rubber cushion under the tripod head because when you loose the extending center column the column can descend quite rapidly to a jarring halt. Of course you can hang on to the head so that it doesn't fall as fast. So this isn't really a big issue. However... I've seen other tripods in this same price range that have this rubber gasket/cushion in place for this exact reason.

All in all - a great tripod!
