Use this product with my NIKON COOLPIX L 810. Still finding out what works and what does not, but found this product helpful when still shots are planned or while using zoom at high magnitude. This product is noted as having quick release for the camera, THAT IS TRUE. Also my NIKON fits quickly and easily on the top of the monopod. No coins or screw driver needed to place it on the platform. When holding the monopod, without any other assistance, there still is some movement that you do not have with a tripod, but maybe with time that too will improve. For me so far this product works best when I rest the stand on a surface to give less movement. The option to quickly remove the camera from the product by unlatching the plate without total removal of the camera does help with more spontaneous shots. Releasing the clamps for length is difficult, so be patient.

For fast action when you want a steady hand this is the perfect companion. I just recently purchased this monopod for a wedding I was shooting for a friend. Being an outside reception it was very handy to have when taking pictures in the dark tent and later on when the sun went down. The quick release makes it very fast and versatile. That night I logged on to B&H, seeking a mono pod of good quality that was at a price that would not dent my pockets. I found this one, and so far, I am very pleased. Sturdy. Nice foam hand grip, and the quick release plate was on point!

I use this product to stabilize my camera when shooting sporting events. It's lightweight, easily portable, and comfortable to hold. The only complaint I have about it is that it didn't come with simple instructions. For example, there is a red latch that is a locking feature but I don't know if it is locked or not and I don't know if I have my camera securely fastened on... It feels secure, but I may not have it on the correct way. Instructions or a pamphlet about the product would have been nice to have with it. Otherwise, it is a great product!
