It looks nice, it sounds nice. It is perfect headphone. Unfortunately amateur like me does not know difference between this one and $30 ones. I like the headphone though.

I set these up to play steady for 10 days on my headphone amp. They came to life. The headphones are very accurate and neutral. That is what I was looking for.

Sound quality is impeccable, they can be a little too bright with some music styles, but bass is still tight and present, bassheads will find it missing some "woof". I would recommend to anyone who wants a good pair of headphones for late night movies and games, for the music enthusiam there may be better choice at this price range.

I'm using them as an alternate reference for mixing and editing in control room environment where I don't have to worry about unwanted sounds coming in or going out of the 'phones.
(-) These would not be good for overdubs because of the open design- the sound would escape and "bleed" into the mic too much for that.
(+) They don't make my ears hot and sweaty! I hate how my 7506's and other "isolation" 'phones make my ears hot after a while. Also, because these cushions don't actually touch my ears, my ears don't feel "squooshed" and sore.
(-)I do wear glasses, and the the velvet cushions do squeek on my glasses. - as do all headphones, but these are noisier on the glasses than other headphones. I'm thinking about puting some electrical tape over the bows of my glasses....it's just a thought. then I can REALLY look like a geek ;)
(-)the chords are lime green--kinda strange...color. I don't see that they really "go" with these white 'phones but "oh, well". They're 'phones, not a fashion statement!
(-)my bigger beef with the chords is that they seem to be rather light in gauge. They just don't "feel" like quality chords. I hope they prove me wrong.
(+)I can't complain about the price...I did some shopping around and B&H came through for me again!

This are a delight to wear, lightweight, and wonderful listening experience. Out of the box they sound great, and as the drivers loosen up (70hrs burn-in), the level of detail has risen to amazing. Each day they just keep getting better and better. Fare warning, they do leak a lot of sound, which in turn rewards you with clean and open sound-stage. I use these primarily for PC gaming (w/X-Fi sound card, and E9 desktop amp), the open sound-stage and finite details allow for exceptional audio position. I recommend these to any high-end gamer who desires the immersive gaming experience. It's a ESP like advantage in on-line FPS games. As for listening to music, you'll be delighted at the level of detail that now become more apparent when using these.
Do your online research, you'll find nothing but positive reviews all over. Treat yourself to a set of wonderful headphones, and buy these! Bass-heads need not apply.

Comparing to well known 240 reference series, Q701 is with more characters. The sound is wider because of the fully open design, but with much precise positioning. The sound is simply crystal clear with very fast dynamic response, resulting in very pleasant listening experience. In my opinion it is exceptional for strings such as piano and guitar. With the amazing price from BH, you definitely can't find anything better than that.
Please note that you need to run it for at least several days to get better sound. The OOB sound is quite different. With the impedance, you can use it with most of the portable devices after burning in. Most of the time I attach it with my recording interface for the best sound quality.

Even those these are supposed to require a considerable burn-in period, they sound good from the box, used for classical recording. Not super comfortable although they will soften, and can be fairly easily heard from outside the headphone (off the back). But I am glad to have them...and they look cool!

An absolute great value by the Austrian headset manufacturer. It sits comfortably an got lots of details from high to low. Also like the fact that it came with two cables (3m and 5m ~ 9 and 15ft) which is not even advertised and both can be used with the small and bigger plug. Love it!
