Lomography 120 Redscale XR 50-200 Color Negative Film is unique in that it allows you to change the ISO setting for more creative images. This ability to move the exposure around creates some very different images.

Redscale film involves shooting the film from the reverse side of the emulsion. Generally, the blue emulsion is exposed first but with redscale film, it is the red layer that gets first crack at the light. This is done by loading the cassette backwards into the canister. This produces unusual color shifts. Depending on the film, colors produced can vary from orange to yellow or maroon.

Comments about Lomography 120 Redscale XR 50-200 Color Negative Film (Extended Range, 3 Rolls):

I'd give it ten stars if I could. This is one of my favorite films and I use tons of it in the 35mm version especially but also quite a bit of the 120. It's incredibly beautiful if shot at low ISO, 25-50 or even lower. It is one of my favorite films for double and triple exposures. The color tones it produces are varied and subtle at times. You will get the most out of it if you scan your own film so that you can adjust the levels and then you'll be rewarded with fantastic reds, browns, cool greens and blue-gray tones. You'll get further variation going from toy cameras to fine glass such as Leica. It's endlessly fun, get some!

I love love love Lomography redscale 120 film! I shoot outdoors with a Holga and a Yashica TLR and this film is the best I've used. This is a variable ISO film (with red tones at 200 and green/blue tones at 50). For the Holga, your outdoor images will be super red soaked and bleary perfection. You can experiment with color adjustment by holding the shutter open longer. If you have a variable ISO 120 camera, then you can make choices about color as you shoot. I shoot old building and graffiti and this redscale film makes the pictures sing! You will not be disappointed!
