Comments about Fujifilm Fujicolor Crystal Archive Type II Paper (20 x 24", Glossy, 50 Sheets):

I just used this paper to print a photographic exhibition and I am completely satisfied with. Saturation and contrast are superb, the quality of color and the glossy finish just look amazing. The whites are pretty nice, no cool or warm cast in the whites, which is important. Maybe I am in love with analog photography, but I think that no inkjet paper can match yet the glossy finish this paper has. I think the price is good considering you get 50 sheets. It is thick and not as fragile, so handling it in the dark is not as critical to avoid damaging the paper. The filtration needed in the color enlarger is pretty much standard, unlike some other Fuji paper I've tried which sometimes needs some Cyan filtering, I used this one working with Magenta and Yellow filters only. I already bought a second box to make more images.

Comments about Fujifilm Fujicolor Crystal Archive Type II Paper (20 x 24", Glossy, 50 Sheets):

Use the photo paper to print my own negatives at ICP. I'm not pleased by the new paper. The blacks are very poor!! - obvious difference when compared side by side with the previous product. The filter numbers when printing Fuji film have been almost off the scale at the lower end due to an unreal Cyan cast and may yet go off the scale for some negatives. Also the paper is thinner and feels fragile in comparison. I have to wonder how well it will hang when matted.

Comments about Fujifilm Fujicolor Crystal Archive Type II Paper (20 x 24", Glossy, 50 Sheets):

Fuji came out with this new paper in January of 2011. Compared to the old Fuji paper, it su cks. It dings really really easily. A day or two after an image is printed on it (and it's stored flat), it changes shape and won't lie flat. The box it comes in is terrible for keeping out light leaks and possible light exposures to the paper. There is no cardboard cover over the paper anymore, which increases the chances of dings and lets more light in. I know Fuji was making some sacrifices, but I honestly would have rather paid an extra $50 for the old paper than have to suffer through using this stuff. Maybe it's a sign to move on to digital printing. Very disappointed!
