If you are looking for paper that makes colors more vivid, this is it. Doesn't fog quickly if accidentally exposed to light before put under the enlarger (this is good for me because I work in a shared darkroom where I can't guarantee the lights will perpetually stay off). No complaints!

This paper is much closer in contrast to the discontinued low contrast paper Fujicolor Type P than it is to the medium contrast Fujicolor Type P. It is difficult to make good looking optical prints from normal or low contrast negatives on Fujicolor Type II in the darkroom where I work. The color saturation is fine but the contrast is low. I much preferred Fuji C for general purpose printing, after all it is easy to reduce contrast on a print by flashing the negative through a diffuser for 5-30 percent of the exposure time, but there is no easy way to increase contrast in optical printing. I also find it harder to work with large 16x20" pr 20x24" sheets of Type II, because the paper is much more flexible than Fuji C. Fuji also has cheapened the packaging of their color paper, putting it in much more flimsy boxes and bagging it without a cardboard stiffener. All this is distinctly disenchanting. I may have to order rolls of Kodak Ultra Endura and cut it by hand, if I am to get the results I want from optical printing.

Comments about Fujifilm Fujicolor Crystal Archive Type II Paper (11 x 14", Matte, 100 Sheets):

Use it for color projection printing of 35mm and 120 roll film. very consistent as long as you remember to close the box! Opps! Wish it had a thicker base, kinks and creases very easy. A little bit easier to handle than 16x20 but still have to be careful when manipulating it.

Comments about Fujifilm Fujicolor Crystal Archive Type II Paper (11 x 14", Matte, 100 Sheets):

I used this matte paper for a color project in one of my classes. It's the first matte paper I've ever used, seeing as we're typically required to print glossy, especially in black and white. I really love the texture and finish and the way the paper represents the brilliance of the color. :)
