Comments about Polaroid Studio Series 58mm 0.43x HD Wide Angle Lens:

The lens is solid but getting on to my camera was the hard part.
The thread kept cross threading and no matter what I couldn't get it to go on stright.
None the less I got it to hold long enough to test it out.
The image is slighly degraded around the edges and there is some fish eye but it's plenty good enough for most uses ans a bit of manipulation in post does wonders.
Not sure I'de recommend it though although the price is right.

Comments about Polaroid Studio Series 58mm 0.43x HD Wide Angle Lens:

It's cheap enough so you do not get too mad when you find out that the lens has an small opaque spot, it shows on pictures but not too much. Other than that, it works fine. It is not for professionals, but it will get you a wide angle without much distortion.

I'm pretty impressed for the price! Fairly clear and crisp... not as much fish-eye bowing as the other lenses within $hundreds of the price. Would have to spend $500 to $1000 to get anything better.

I actually was in NYC and tested a bunch of the lenses in each price range ready to drop $200 to $400 on a wide angle lense for my video production company. Was quite happy to pay about 1/10th that and still have a great lense.

Does not focus. Images are blurry.

I'm going to spend the extra money and buy a real wide angle lens.

I use this lens on a canon sx40 hs, and I am very satisfied with the added range it is able to bring. Slight vignetting with wide angle lens on widest camera setting, but a touch of the zoom fixes it. The macro lens for this price is also welcome. All in all, a very good purchase. And shipping was spot on!

This lens works great through most of the zoom range of my Canon HF S30. Naturally you don't want it on for telephoto, but it does allow for zoom without seeing the edges of the lens. Works great when camcorder is on still photo mode without any vignetting. Good quality materials and looks good on this camcorder.

This seems to be pretty fine as a lens, considering the price. The problem is I bought this for the EOS REBEL T3I with EF-S/18-135 IS zoom lens, and it doesn't fit. This is of course no fault of the product itself (that's why I'd still recommend it to a friend, and is why I'm still giving it 4 stars). But I'd just like to issue this warning to anyone who's liable to make the same mistake I did.

I bought two of these to widen the field on a 3d beamsplitter. 20 minutes after recieving them I dropped one over 5 ft onto concrete. It made an awful cracking sound and bounced across the garage. I honestly cannot tell which one I dropped from the other. So they are pretty tough. They work geat too.

Better quality than the no name that i had bought and returned due to fitting issues. This one threads on better after a couple of times. Only issue that is not better than the no name is that fully wideangle shots have that rounded dark corners look. If you cannot get a clear picture at the widest zoom then dont make it such a wide angle. It is also a little cheap made as I can see the areas where the glue is. Other than that it is fine for the price.
