The Toshiba IK-WB16AW Pan/Tilt Network Camera (Wireless), with 1/3.2” CMOS image sensor and a resolution of 1600 x 1200 (up to 30 fps), helps you to capture detailed images in MPEG-4 and JPEG formats. With 16-channel recording software, you can view and record up to 16 cameras. The wireless camera supports 4x digital zoom, and offers a pan range of ±175° and a tilt range of 90° to -23°. Additionally, the camera supports WEP, WPA, and WPA2 wireless security.
Auto white balance adjusts the red and blue signals in the MWB mode by taking a standard white color reference to get the most natural colors. Automatic gain control allows you to adjust the signal strength to maintain a constant brightness level, and backlight compensation adjusts video gain to correct the exposure when the object being captured is in front of a bright light. With a minimum illumination of 0.2 lux, the network camera can deliver clear images even in low light conditions.
On-board slot is provided for SD card; apart from being convenient for short-term/temporary storage, recording onto SD card also rules out data loss due to network disconnection. The 2-way audio with built-in microphone enables you to communicate with intruders and potential visitors from the operator’s base station.
The IK-WB16AW Pan/Tilt Network Camera supports a tamper detection feature, which triggers an alarm when the camera is being tampered with; e.g. if it is redirected, blocked, defocused, or spray-painted. Motion detection triggers an alarm when motion is detected in a designated portion of the video display. The wireless camera allows up to 10 viewers to simultaneously view the camera, and supports multi-level password protection that allows only those operators to access the camera who have a user name and user password.

Comments about Toshiba IK-WB16AW Pan/Tilt Network Camera (Wireless):
Works well in our remote process visualization and record keeping protocols. Responsive controls and great image quality in most applications.
Digital zoom can get allow picture to get grainy quickly, but deceasing zoom corrects problem just as fast.
Works well in low light, but very bright light is difficult to deal with and washes out picture detail quickly.

Comments about Toshiba IK-WB16AW Pan/Tilt Network Camera (Wireless):
Base gets painfully hot.
IE is required for web features. (FireFox does not support streaming, but that is not Toshiba's fault.) MPlayer and VLC work fine for RTSP streaming.
Manual is complete, but sparse. You are on your own to figure out how to use all the features.
Should be bundled with Micro SD flash card. Samba (CIFS) support is a great feature.
The overall impression is that the product is incomplete and half-baked.
Should not be called a camera - it is a complete computer server with data storage, communication capabilities and a built-in camera!
