The Sescom Canon 5D MkII DSLR Magic Lantern AV Out Headphone Monitoring Cable can be used with a 5D MkII camera that is loaded with Magic Lantern firmware. With this cable you can attach a standard pair of stereo headphones with a mini connector to the AV out jack on the camera and monitor the quality of the audio while recording live HD footage. This specialized cable eliminates the need for multiple adapters that are required with the AV out cable that ships with the camera.

I have been using magic lantern on my 5DmkII which allows me to use the AV out socket as a headphone monitor out. Before, you have to use the AV stereo cable that came with the camera plus an rca y-adapter-to-miniheadphone socket to be able to use my headphones.
With this cable, the clutter is gone!
Plug this to the 5D, then plug your headphone to it and you are good to go!

I've owned my MKII since 09. Hated that I couldn't monitor what was being recorded in camera. Like Magic Lantern, but hated having to use the canon a/v cable with an adapter. This cable rocks.

This is a super smart purchase if you use the headphone out feature with the 5D MkII and Magic Lantern. So much simpler (and just plain smarter) than dangling the AV cable with couplers to get it all down to your headphones. Great build, and I didn't have to go through the trouble of making it myself (not that I could.) Recommended.
