For remote triggering of flashheads the PocketWizard Transmitter is required
This Dynalite MK8-1222 RoadMax 800W/s 2 Head Kit is powerful and versatile enough to handle a wide variety of on-the-run assignments like fashion, corporate work, portraiture, weddings and interiors. The MP800 pack has 4 head outlets and breaks down its output symmetrically or asymmetrically over a 6 stop range with short flash durations at a super fast 1.2 seconds recycling time at full power. A variator knob allows fine tuned exposure adjustments over 2 stops in 2/10 stop increments. Triggering options include sync cord (provided), IR or optical slave as well as a built in PocketWizard 32 Channel Transceiver.
The included MH2050 flash heads have a 250W modeling light, user replaceable 2000W/s capacity flash tube and an ideal color temperature of 5400K. Fan-cooling means that you'll get extended life out of both the flash tube and modeling lamp. The detachable 18' power cable insures that the heads have the smallest possible profile for packing and transporting. The kit's stands and umbrellas employ a unique design that lets them fold in upon themselves to fit in the sturdy Cordura case.
Although you may be tired at the end of a long shooting day, it won't be because of your equipment. The MP800 pack weighs a mere 5.3 lb, the MH2050 head less than 2 lb and the entire kit approximately 23 lb.

Comments about Dynalite MK8-1222 RoadMax 800 W/s 2 Head Kit:
I've been renting these dynalite units for a long time and decided to just buy them to save time running around. Reliable and easy to use. I mostly use these in studio, so there is plenty of power. The light weight and small form factor also add to the ease in transport. Great when you have to pack it all away at the end of the day. The built in PocketWizards are a great help to keep you shooting without the cables. Yes, the Profoto equipment is super nice, but light is light. Negligible color accuracy issues, so you can relax knowing that it'll light your next picture just like your last. Backwards compatible with older lights also a plus. Great unit, and highly recommended.

Comments about Dynalite MK8-1222 RoadMax 800 W/s 2 Head Kit:
Works flawlessly with consistent output. PocketWizard feature works very well and is super handy. The case is very nice and is a great little package when everything is packed inside. There is also enough room to fit a few more accessories inside like an extension cord, gaff tape, clamps and such. Very well thought out.
I've used this on a few occasions in the studio and a couple of times on location. Definitely on par with all the other Dynalite equipment I've used.

Comments about Dynalite MK8-1222 RoadMax 800 W/s 2 Head Kit:
I used a more powerful version of this system in school and loved it. I haven't used lighting in about 5 years but right out of the box this kit worked great. It was more powerful than I thought. I originally was going to buy the 1000 watt but they discontinued it before I could buy it.
The most difficult part of this set up is my own brain trying to remember how to get the effects I am looking for. The kit itself was easier for me to purchase than trying to buy it piece by piece. It is great for off sight locations too. I will eventually get some of the accessories for the light heads but up until now I haven't needed any other accessories.
I am going to hook up my laptop to it tonight for the first time so that the client can see what I am shooting as I shoot the subject.
After researching various lighting equipment in various camera stores and online I am very happy I went with the Dynalite system and that I got a kit that I can expand upon down the road if I choose.
