The Streaming Networks iRecord Pro+ is intended for professional users. It automatically saves your parameters, there are no water markings and the auto power shut-off is disabled. You can still record a virtually limitless array of sources directly to your iPad, iPod, iPhone, other portable device, USB flash drive or even USB hard drives. It records via USB, RCA, S-Video and is compatible with NTSC, PAL and SECAM standards. The list of possible sources is endless, as are the applications that the iRecord Pro+ can tackle.
You can use the iRecord Pro+ to watch TV or listen to the radio whenever you want. Record straight from analog, satellite or Internet radio to your portable drive or media player. You can record TV from your set-top-box or directly from your television set. If you have an iPod, iPhone or iPad, it is possible to schedule a recording time if you've hooked everything up ahead of time. You can schedule 30, 60, 120 or 180 minute recordings.
The iRecord Pro+ can capture live events as well. Record from a microphone and video camera for your blog or run live recordings from your computer via the S-Video output to make educational or instructional videos. It's also possible to record from your game console in order to post your skills on the Internet or show to friends.
With the iRecord Pro+, it's no problem to take movies and music with you. Connect a DVD or CD player to transfer your discs directly to your portable device or drive. iRecord Pro+ can even support lossless audio formats like WAV and FLAC, which is great for putting music on your iPod or portable player that hasn't been compressed into an MP3 form. Plus, instead of uploading onto your computer, you can go straight from disc to device.
For fans of vinyl, VHS and cassette, the iRecord Pro+ offers a solution to purchasing expensive tape/phono to USB converters. Instead, you can go analog into the iRecord Pro+ and it will record your favorite LPs, cassettes and VHS videos directly onto your iPod, other portable player, flash memory or external hard drive. This feature makes the iRecord Pro+ ideal for archiving old album collections.
The iRecord Pro+ will also convert MPEG-2 digital video to high quality H.264. Since it is formatted for transcoding and encoding, you can use it to quickly convert files without waiting around for your computer. Converting to high quality H.264 video is a slow process and can tie-up your PC or Mac, but the iRecord Pro+ makes quick work of such conversions. It can decode full D1 resolution MPEG-2 video to QVGA resolution in real-time. You can even use older computers or laptops to encode full length movies with the iRecord Pro+.

I use the iRecord to convert HD video images of sporting matches to mp4 for others to display on their personal computers. It is easy to set up and very simple to use. I only wish it had a display so I could be sure that it is receiving the video input from the camera. Have used a handful of times now and it has performed without issue every time.

I use this product to record Australian Rules Football directly to usb thumbdrive. Within 10 minutes of a game finishing, and using a usb duplicator, I have 5 copies to hand over to teams, umpires and data analysts. This little machine does what it claims with a minimum of fuss. Great investment!

Works very well as an interface to record analog video or audio directly to USB flash drive. Not intuitive but easy to learn. Buttons on unit are flimsy and seem prone to failure over time but if you use remote for all functions that should not be a problem.
